Dear Mayor Simmons, Vice-Mayor Dorfman and Commissioners Davis, Gowdy andWalters,

I listened to your Regular Town Commission Meeting from last night (December 16,2015) and would like to come to my defense. I submitted, via email, my resume andapplication to the Town Manager on December 14th followed by another email statingthat I would also be interested in serving as Interim City Clerk. During the audiomeeting minutes, I heard that my experience was from many years ago and that iswhere I take exception. After leaving my position as City Clerk for the City of LakeHelen in October of 2013 I still volunteered for the City to ease their transition whichmakes it less than two years since I’ve served in the role of City Clerk. My husband andI moved to Montana because he had a wonderful job opportunity. When he was ableto work from anywhere we hightailed it back to Florida. Upon returning, I accepted atemporary position with the City of St. Augustine to work as an HR Assistant. Therefore,my time away from city government has been limited and I’d really like for you toconsider me for the position of Town Clerk or Interim Town Clerk. I am able to overlap afew days with Tracey Evans and would be eager to do so.

Because time is of the essence, this is what I can offer if you are interested:

I can work one day during the week of December 20th

I can work during the entire week of December 27th

I’ll work as Interim Town Clerk for $25/hour, no benefits (and yes, this includestranscribing minutes)

I will forward the two emails I previously submitted regarding the position of TownClerk. Normally, I wouldn’t “rock the boat” but I feel my experience was a littleunderrepresented and I’d like to give you all the information from which to make aninformed decision.

Thanks so much for your time.

Best regards,

Nancy Wilson
