Does not include professional programmes (e.g.,
Engineering, Accounting) that still require accreditation from related professional bodies.
Subjected to continuous surveillance audit by MQA.
A recognition of academic quality assurance in UNITEN
Recommendation by MQA Panel through audit of Self-Review Portfolio (SRP) and
audit visit.
Accreditation requires
notification to MOE and
Malaysian Qualifications
Agency (MQA). Programmes
will be listed in the Malaysian
Qualifications Register (MQR)
Self-accreditation is a status given to a qualified university
by the Ministry of Education Malaysia (MOE)..

3. What is PEO, PO and CO?
Answer :
• All programmes in UNITEN are developed in tandem with the Vision,
Mission, philosophy and education goals of UNITEN.
• The Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs) are developed based
on the external and internal stakeholders. The PEOs are the broad
goal describing expected achievement of graduates in career (within
3-5 years of graduation).
• The Programme Outcome (PO) are the graduate attributes need to be
attained after completing the programme, where as Course Outcomes
(COs) which support the POs, are the outcomes need to be attained at
the end of the course.

Answer :
It is compulsory for all lecturers to inform the students’ mid-term results
and carry marks. There are remedial classes and personal academic
consultation conducted by lecturers to help students in needs. Students
are required to evaluate the lecturers/courses at the end of semester via
