• The value of ENV RIs lies in standardization and producing and providing of quality controlled data for science and society.

• Data preservation, VREs, computational resources and the interoperability main focal points for ENVRIs (member-state IT resources)

• Data Hubs cannot be outsourced to a higher level governance (VAO, GEO, etc..) in particular without a sustainable model defined (including the financial aspects)

• Brokering to user-multipliers (Copernicus) on contractual basis
