Fedora Web Front-end

The Fedora access and management systems are described using the Web Services Description Language (WSDL), as are all auxiliary services included in the architecture. The system communicates over HTTP and supports the Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP). The project has adopted the Metadata Encoding and Transmission Standard (METS) [9] as the means to encode and store digital objects as XML entities.
