It’s certainly been an unforgettable and exhausting start to 2020. Let’s hope today marks the end of this unpredictable weather and we can finally settle in to the school year and get back to what’s really important, teaching and learning. I can safely speak for myself and the staff here at Towamba PS that we are all really happy to be back at school and eager to get back into our classrooms with our wonderful students. I also really want to thank all of the parents that kept me up to date with information throughout the past week, it was really helpful to know what was happening on the ground here at Towamba. I know that Vicki has been working tirelessly on the most amaz- ing artworks with the students whilst the school was non-opera- tional. I have to say, I am beyond impressed, not only with Vicki’s enthusiasm and hard work, but also for the amazing way the students have worked together so cooperatively and artistically. Well done! Just a reminder that Steve Mair, senior psychologist with the De- partment of Education and is still here in the role of Councillor to support the students, parents, staff and community for the next week or so. If you would like to have a chat, or you think your child would benefit from Steve’s expertise pop in and see him or just give a call. The small schools swimming carnival has been booked for this Friday the 14th February at Candelo swimming pool, permis- sion notes are going home today and will need to be returned tomorrow. Please don’t hesitate to come and see us if you have any ques- tions about anything, have a great week! Thanks Sarah
