Habitat Tour: Guided walking tour with trolley service available for an additional fee. A tour guide will share information about our animal residents along a ½ mile tour loop.

Meet Curator Emily McCormack or Assistant Curator Laurie Vanderwal at 9 AM for coffee and muffins to talk about the history of Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge. Then take a behind the scenes tour to areas inaccessible to the public, including Rescue Ridge. This personally guided tour will last at least two hours and give our guests a truly unique perspective on the lives of the animals who reside here and the work we do as a nonprofit sanctuary.
• Please book this tour at least three days in advance of your tour date.
• Available 9 AM on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month.

Coffee with the Curator You and up to 4 friends can go on a personalized private tour with an animal care staff member. Get a behind the scenes look at Turpentine Creek, see all of the animals in the habitat areas, see where we prep the animals’ food, get a close-up view of our vet hospital and take a tour of Rescue Ridge, an area usually restricted to visitors. Tour will last approximately one hour and give you a truly unique perspective on the lives of the animals who reside at Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge.

Carnivore Caravan
A variety of on-site lodging options are available within walking distance of the Discovery and Habitat tour areas, including:
• The Safari Lodge: Adult only-cabins overlooking the Ozark Mountain range with complimentary light breakfast, color TV/DVD player, refrigerator, microwave and air-conditioning. Units share a deck, complete with covered gazebo, fire pit and hot tub. Private deck with a great view also included. Please inquire for rollaway bed for additional guests.
• The Tree House: Fully equipped with a fantastic view of the big cats from the full wrap around deck. Sleeps two adults & two children.
• Safari Suites: The Safari Suites are family friendly rooms. You will truly enjoy watching the animals while relaxing in the comfort of this big cat style room. These two rooms have a queen bed and a pull out couch along with a garden tub and a separate shower.
• Safari Tents: Family-friendly, glamping-style tents with detached bathrooms & shower. Fire pit and yard games on site. Kids welcome.
• RVs & Tent Spaces: Access to power outlets and water available on site.
