Malaysia is a land of diversity and Indian travellers
will always nd something interesting—be it the
shopping, nightlife, theme parks, adventure activities
and its eco-tourism products all in close proximity.
While the rst time traveller nds all this fascinating,
the repeat traveller takes time to explore the vast
array of attractions. Cox and Kings has always been
in the forefront of showcasing new attractions and we
believe that in 2010 too it has new and interesting insights in store for the traveller.

We’ve been around for over 250 years of discovery, and if there’s one thing we’ve learnt, it is that as the world grows smaller, our choices get larger. Networking becomes imperative in a globalised world.
Great minds think alike, and it is no wonder that Cox and Kings has attracted key players, who are leaders in their own right. Each of our partners bring to the table a unique travel-related strength, that enriches the holiday experience.
The parts they play differ, but some things remain the same across all our alliance partners, exacting standards and a commitment towards excellence. And it all goes a long way in establishing Cox and Kings as Holiday Makers par excellence.

SPECIAL OFFER FOR COX AND KINGS CUSTOMERS
How to choose your holiday?
Holidays are an opportunity to refresh
ourselves and take a break from our
demanding schedules. Which is why,
they need to be chosen carefully. You
certainly do not want to be disturbed by
problems. Just relax and leave all the
logistics to us. Given below are two broad
classications of any holiday, based on
where, with who and how many people
you wish to holiday. This is applicable to
any holiday you want.
Group Tours (or Package Tours)
These tours have carefully planned
itineraries and have a good balance of
essential sightseeing, activities, coupled
with meals. An experienced tour director
accompanies the group and takes care
of everything, so our guests can have
unlimited fun and return with happy
memories.
Group Tours - Advantages
• Great ‘Value for Money’ holidays,
because we buy in bulk and get
discounts from suppliers.
• Feel secure and safe in an unknown
country, as you travel with a known
name.
• Estimate the total cost of the holiday
well in advance.
• Get to meet different people of varied
cultures and interests.
• Everything is organized for you.
• Cover all ‘must-see’ spots.
• Your tour manager takes care of
everything.
Things to be aware of on a Group
Tour :
• A lot of places are covered, so there is
less in-depth sightseeing.
• You have to rise fairly early most
days.
• The itinerary is fairly xed and cannot
accommodate individuals.
• The itinerary covers a wide section of
people’s tastes / interests that may
not suit you as an individual.
• Since it is a group, you do not get a
chance to choose all your
companions.
• You cannot tailor-make the itinerary /
meals / sightseeing to suit your
tastes.
Individual Tours (or Tailor-made
/ Customised Tours)
These tours are designed to offer you
complete ‘freedom’. Everything about
your holiday is as per your needs, tastes
and budget. You can buy a complete
package or just components of different
travel services. Or you can simply
purchase a single travel service.
Individual Tours - Advantages
• Total exibility in terms of itinerary,
time, cuisine, sightseeing and
accommodation. You follow your own
schedule and time-table.
• You can choose your companions.
• See places and explore them in
depth.
• You can choose the trip as per your
likes, dislikes and interests.
• Get creative with your itinerary. Eg,
choose a self-drive holiday in Australia
with scuba diving and bungee jumping
added.
• Spend a little extra on interesting
value adds - hiring a private vehicle
at just a little extra for a day adds
more fun to your holiday.
Things to be aware of on an
Individual Tour :
• You will be co-ordinating on your own
when you travel without the services
of a Tour Manager. This includes any
re-routing or re-conrmation of
services. Of course you will be given
contact and emergency numbers.
• The price will be normally more
expensive than a group holiday.
• The comfort, security and company of
being a part of a large group would
not be available.
• In spite of total exibility on the trip,
you will have to stick to schedules for
transfers, sightseeing etc.
• In case you are pre-booking meals at
a restaurant please ensure that to
and fro transfers may or may not be
included.
With this clear understanding about the
types of holiday options, you will be better
equipped to make a choice. A simple grid
presents the different types of holidays
Cox and Kings offers under Group and
Individual Tours. So make your bookings
and start packing. Bon voyage!

From comfort of an ultra modern hotel to the classic elegance of traditional ambience, they all have the Cox and Kings endorsement of service and excellence.
Every Cox and Kings hotel matches our standards for a comfortable stay. Most hotels have more twin rooms.
Single rooms are much smaller than twin bedded rooms, which have two separate beds. Double rooms, on request, are subject to availability. Where a double is not available, a twin room will be provided. Triple rooms are usually no larger than twin rooms, and the third bed is often a rollaway bed or cot placed in a twin room. It is more comfortable to get a separate bed for a child sharing a room.
All hotels have modern facilities such as attached toilets with showers / bath tubs and telephones.

A few pearls of wisdom from our Travel Experts
Come…. discover the treasures around the world on our Duniya Dekho Tours. Please nd below a few of Cox and Kings suggestions and advice to make your holiday simply perfect.
PICTURE POSTCARD SIGHTSEEING !
To t in all the must see sights, we structure our sightseeing tours to suit the itinerary. They are panoramic tours, orientation tours or visits, to give you a proper overview of any city.
Note:
Panoramic city tour
A view from your coach of the sights / monuments as you drive past, with a few photo stops.
Orientation city tour
Walk and see the sights at close quarters but from outside.
Visit
Enter the site / monument and spend time in the place.
SHOP TILL YOU DROP !
A treasure trove awaits savvy shoppers. See rst hand where some of the world’s most exclusive products are made. Great gifts and souvenirs like Papyrus, Carpets, Ceramics, Handicrafts, Perfume, Crystals, Venetian Glass, Spices, are yours at great prices.
TOUR MANAGER
We request you to kindly co-operate with your Tour Managers and abide by their instructions for a successful and a memorable tour.
PROFESSIONAL GUIDES
There’s no substitute for a little local avour, so we employ local guides who provide detailed insights in specic cities, thereby complementing your Tour Manager.
BAGGAGE ON COACH
Please note that porterage is not included in
Pearls of WisdomPearls of Wisdom
the tour price. It is often difcult to get porters to assist as hotels may or may not provide this service and it is therefore advisable to use bags with wheels. Coaches have limited space for luggage. For the foregoing reasons, we permit only one suitcase and one handbag per person in the coach. The suitcase should be of a size of 158 cms. (width + length + height).
COACHES
Since most of your travel in different tours around the world will be by road, for your comfort we have carefully chosen air-conditioned modern coaches for travel. However the only exception is the UK where air-cooled coaches are used. There are long drives from one city to another and we provide frequent convenience stops to ensure that you have an opportunity to smoke, stretch your legs, or use the rest rooms facilities. In the USA on certain days the journeys are 4 to 5 hours and in Europe, the average traveling time by coach is approximately 8 to 10 hours or more. Some of the motor coaches are equipped with in-built emergency washroom facilities. The word emergency is stressed upon because these facilities are not designed to be used as regular washrooms. Kindly use the convenience stops provided at regular intervals. We regret that in the interest of your fellow passengers, eating, smoking and drinking alcoholic beverages is strictly not permitted on the coach. It is in your interest to keep the coach neat and clean, so that you and your fellow passengers can be comfortable during your holiday.
HOTELS
Check-in and check-out timings differ from country to country and range between 1400 hrs – 1600 hrs for check-in and between 1100 hrs – 1200 hrs for check-outWhile checking into the hotel, please follow the instructions of the Tour Manager. Sometimes due to high occupancy, hotel rooms might not be ready, in which case we request you to wait patiently. You have the option of reserving
a room from the previous day, though at an extra cost.Hotels rooms around the world have facilities like a mini-bar, pay television channels, which have to be paid for as per usage. Some hotels offer safe deposit lockers. We would recommend that you make use of them.Unlike other countries, most hotels across Europe do not have air-conditioners / fans due to climatic conditions. We request you to occupy the designated areas for group dining – if any. Please note any damage to your room will be charged to you directly by the hotel.
ROOMS/CABINS
We will try our best to provide you with adjacent / interconnecting rooms/cabins, however there is no guarantee and is subject to availability. Unlike other countries where the rooms are fairly spacious, European hotel rooms are small and can accommodate a maximum of three people. Triple rooms are not much bigger than a twin room, so it is advisable to get a separate bed for an accompanying minor. In some destinations, a triple room consists of one queen size double bed and one single bed. Certain hotels for example in Genting do not offer triple rooms. Likewise the sleeper trains from Cairo to Aswan/Luxor and vice-versa do not offer triple accommodation. In case of requests for triple sharing, an extra room will be provided for the third person at an extra cost, unless specied otherwise.
OPTIONALS
Every Cox and Kings tour comes with a few optional exclusives, just for you. The price of the optional tours includes the cost of transportation to and from the sightseeing place; the services of a local representative; administrative and communication charges for booking and our professional charges in addition to the entrance fees. Reservations and payments for optional tours can be made in India prior to departure. You can also pay on arrival on day one of your tour, in Euros in Europe, USD in USA, AUD in Australia, NZD in New Zealand, to the Cox and Kings

PUNCTUALITY
The drivers are bound by restrictions concerning maximum driving hours per day and per week, and the itineraries are planned with regard to the same. It is therefore essential that the itineraries, schedules and timings are strictly adhered to by you so as to ensure that all the services can be duly provided. If you or any of your co-passengers miss any service due to unpunctuality, there would be no refund for the same. This shall be applicable even on occasion when you are affected by your co-passenger’s lack of punctuality.
TIPPING
Tipping is a way of life everywhere. Since
your coach driver spends a large part of the day driving you safely, loads and unloads your luggage onto the coach; it is customary to tip him. It is mandatory that you tip Euro 2/- in Europe and USD 2/- for the rest of the world per person per suitcase per day to the coach driver / porterage of hotel if required. In fact, in the current scenario it would be far more prudent to furnish all documents at least four months before the departure date. We assist you in preparing and submitting the visa application based on documents provided by you. We cannot take responsibility of getting your visa granted. Grant / rejection of visas is the sole discretion of embassy/consulate. We only act as a facilitator for obtaining visas. You
may be required to appear personally before embassy / consulate for any interview(s) / providing biometrics. The Company cannot be held liable for rejection of visas and in such a case you will have to bear the visa cost.
TRAWELLTAG WITH

Also, an additional charge may be payable if you wish to extend the tour for longer than normal tour duration.
WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY
“HONEST PRICES”?
In our 250 years of experience in the service of discerning customers like you, we at Cox and Kings rmly believe that every tour package we offer is always the best value in the market and that you – the customer, should be able to ‘Make A Choice’ rather than ‘Accept Unconditionally’.As a result, we have this unique system where we enable you to build your itinerary according to your needs. This allows you to add an exciting and sometimes exclusive optional to your tour and skip the other optionals. The advantage is that you can choose an optional that best suits your inclination and budget. In tours which have an ‘all-inclusive’ tag, customers are compelled to participate in all the sightseeing. However at Cox and Kings we let you decide. For example, if in an itinerary there are ve mountains that you can visit, you could take as many as ve mountains or none at all. A family of four would have to pay almost Euros 2000 for ve mountains. It is important that you feel empowered to pick and choose your optional rather than be forced to pay a huge all-inclusive price. With our policy of transparency you can decide how you would want your time and money to be spent. That’s ‘Honest Prices’ from Cox and Kings at work for you.

Day 8 Onto Auckland • Waitomo Glow
Worm Caves • Guided panoramic city tour
of Auckland
On your way to Auckland visit the famous
Waitomo Glow Worm Caves. Our
guided tour takes you through over 250
metres of stunning underground scenery,
starting with the impressive Cathedral
cavern. The acoustics here are world
renowned. Begin at the upper entrance
of the cave and proceed along a narrow
passage to the Tomo, a deep limestone
shaft. Marvel at the ethereal light display
as you glide silently through the starry
wonderland. Meander underground along
the Waitoo River and gaze in fascination
at this galaxy of tiny living lights that
brighten your way.
Onto Auckland, the largest city, has a lively
atmosphere and a modern feel. Known as
the ‘City of Sails’, it claims to have more
pleasure boats per capita than any other
city in the world! This evening we take you
on a guided panoramic city tour. Take in
landmarks like the War Memorial Museum
and the Harbour Bridge. Auckland’s
harbours are lled with yachts – this is one
of the most popular places in the world
for sailors! Don’t miss the view from the
Sky Tower, the tallest structure in the
southern hemisphere. (B, D)
Day 9 Homeward bound
Good times need never end! As you
get ready for the airport and your ight
back home, relive the high points of your
Cox and Kings tour. We are condent you
will join us again, sometime soon…
(B either in the hotel or on board the ight)
tours, like the Kawaru Jet Boat Ride.
This is an exciting jet boat cruise down
Lake Wakatipu towards the remarkable
mountain range, down the rapids and
under Kawarau Falls Dam. Skim the
turquoise waters and take an occasional
360° spin in the water!
Not-to-be-missed is our optional ‘Lord of
the Rings’ Middle Earth Tour. Planned
around the ‘Lord of the Rings’ movie, take
a four-wheel drive to the Wakatipu region,
whose heart-stopping beauty gave the
movie much of its character. There’s some
gold panning at Ford in Bruinen too.
If you prefer to take to the skies, opt for the
Skyline Skyrides tour that includes a ride
in a gondola to the Skyline Rooftop, with
a panoramic view of the city. Relax at the
rooftop food court café or get adventurous
and try exciting attractions like ‘The Luge
Ride’, which winds down a scenic track or
take a bungee jump. (B, D)
Day 7 Onto Rotorua • Agrodome Farm
Show • Te Puia Hot Springs • Maori Arts
and Crafts Institute
Fly to Rotorua, where, on arrival, you
proceed to the Agrodome to join in a
unique Kiwi experience - the world-famous
sheep show. Participate in an interesting
farm tour. Visit Te Puia, Rotorua’s best
known reserve of thermal springs; formerly
known as Whakarewarewa Hot Springs
where boiling mud pools and roaring
geysers greet you. Then visit the Maori
Arts & Crafts Institute. Where you will be
exposed to native Maori culture and have
an opportunity to meet some of them. Enjoy
this geo thermal city on your own, the rest of
the evening. (B, D)
Tunnel, drilled through the solid rock of the
mountain. As you exit the tunnel, prepare
yourself for the breathtaking impact of
the Cleddau Valley and the descent into
Milford Sound.
A glorious cruise takes you through this
wonderland, which has as its centerpiece
Mitre Peak, a glacier scarred pinnacle
whose reection in the mirror-calm water
is one of the Pacic’s most photographed
sites! The quiet beauty of Milford Sound
is broken by waterfalls cascading from
mountain ridges and crashing into the
sound far below. Keep a lookout for
playful dolphins, fur seals and gulls that
call its waters home.HIGHLIGHT This city is known for its high energy
fun and after dinner, we invite you to sample
some at Minus 5, an ice lounge in the
heart of Queenstown! It is on the famous
Steamer Wharf, conveniently placed
between a glut of ne dining and shopping
places. Your ice guide takes you on a
tour you will never forget. Just the place to
totally chill out! (B, CL, D)

Wonders of the World, after seeing Milford
Sound you would place it near the top!
Milford is the most famous of more than
a dozen grand fjords that make up the
majestic Fiordland National Park on
South Island. Visit this fjord of spectacular
beauty, surrounded by snow-capped
mountains, deep blue water, cascading
waterfalls and dense rainforests!
The journey is as beautiful as the
destination! Leave Queenstown along
the edge of Lake Wakatipu, beneath the
rugged mountain range, on the road to
Te Anau, the ‘Gateway to Fiordland’.
Drive through the town and enjoy a stop
at Lake Te Anau, New Zealand’s second
largest lake, with caves full of glow worms,
waterfalls and whirlpools.
Enter the Fiordland National Park and
marvel at the grandeur of this region.
Pass through the Eglington Valley and
see ancient alpine beech forest and the
famous Mirror Lakes. Fiordland has a
huge amount of rain and the forest reects

and ferns, all dripping with water. Drive on
