MONDAY 23 MAY, 2016 Today we step out of Jerusalem for the day, travelling down to the Great Rift Valley and the Dead Sea. On the way, we can view Wadi Qelt and the St George’s Monastery. Travelling along the Dead Sea, we’ll visit Qumran, the site where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. We travel further along the Dead Sea visiting Ein Gedi and then to the mighty fortress of Masada, built by King Herod, the site of the last heroic 3-year stand of 960 Jewish defenders against the Roman Empire. We ascend by cable car the from its heights we enjoy tremendous views of Jordan and the Dead Sea. Before travelling back to Jerusalem, we will enjoy a ‘float’ in the medicinal waters of the Dead Sea. Overnight Jerusalem. (B-D) TUESDAY 24 MAY, 2016 This morning we visit Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial. This memorial is built in memory of the six million Jews murdered in the Holocaust. Truly a moving experience! After lunch, we will visit the Menorah and the Knesset, Israel’s parliament building. Then we’ll see the Model City of Jerusalem at the time of Yeshua and the Shrine of the Book (housing fragments of the Dead Sea Scrolls). Later, we will step back into the Old City and visit the Burnt House and the newly restored Hurva Synagogue. The rest of the day is free. Overnight Jerusalem. (B-D) WEDNESDAY 25 MAY, 2016 This morning, we will ascend Mount Moriah and onto the Temple Mount (security permitting), the site where Abraham offered up Isaac, now occupied by the Dome of the Rock and the Al Aqsa Mosque. Later that morning we will visit the Garden Tomb. Here, in serenity of this spiritual oasis, we will celebrate the Lord’s Supper together. Free Afternoon. WEDNESDAY 11 MAY, 2016Upon arrival in Tel Aviv we will be met by Inner Faith Travel Representatives and transferred to our hotel for a short rest, refreshment and free time. After lunch, our sojourn through the Holy Land begins with a drive to Caesarea, the home of Cornelius (Acts 10:1) and site of Herod’s Palace, amphitheatre and ancient aqueduct. Later in the afternoon, we will visit the ancient port city of Joppa, home of Simon the Tanner, to stroll through the narrow streets filled with art galleries and cafes. Tonight is Yom HaAtzmaut – Israel’s Independence Day! We will join the celebrations on the streets of Tel Aviv. What a blessing! Overnight Tel Aviv. (Meals on flight - D)

THURSDAY 12 MAY, 2016 Today we head down towards the Negev, travelling to Beer Sheva and visit Tel es Saba where the NZ Mounted Rifles and some Australians took the high place, Chauvel’s Hill from where we can view the plain where the 800 Australian Light horsemen rode into history with their famous charge and the Biblical site of Abraham’s well. We will lay a wreath at the Park of the Australian Soldier, the British Cemetery where Australian, New Zealand and British soldiers lay at rest together. After lunch, we will head down towards Eilat, stopping off at Timna Park where we visit the recreated Tabernacle in the Wilderness. Overnight Eilat. (B-D)

SATURDAY 14 MAY, 2016Crossing into Jordan Depart Eilat in the morning, travelling along the Rift Valley to the Arava border where you enter into the Kingdom of Jordan, and are met and assisted by the Jordanian team. Travel to Wadi Rum (approx 1 hour) for a 2 hour jeep safari, amidst the scenery that inspired Lawrence of Arabia. You can take a 30 minute camel ride led by a mounted guide and be picked up by the jeep along the way. Visit the Seven Pillars of Wisdom, the house where Lawrence of Arabia lived and the inscriptions made by the peoples who inhabited the area centuries ago. After a Bedouin lunch in the area, we drive to your hotel. Overnight Petra (B-L-D).

SUNDAY 15 MAY, 2016 This morning, we will be led through the spectacular chasm of Petra on horseback, by our Nabatean guides. You may choose to walk, or ride in a carriage if available. We will visit the treasury, monastery, Roman Theatre, Royal Tombs and the high place of sacrifice. Petra, the “rose-red city” is one of the modern Seven Wonders of the World, and is an unforgettable experience for all travellers. The city was carved out of the desert rocks thousands of years ago by the ancient Nabateans. It was hidden under sand and kept secret by local Bedouins for centuries before being discovered by an explorer around a hundred years ago. Overnight Petra (B-D).

MONDAY 16 MAY, 2016 Crossing back into Israel After an early departure from Petra we will travel along the Kings Highway up to Mt. Nebo where Moses viewed the Promised Land before his passing. Enjoy a breathtaking view across the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea. Then we will cross into the Promised Land via the King Hussein Allenby Bridge Border, and make our way up the Jordan Valley to the Decapolis city of Beit-Shean, where King Saul’s body was hung on the walls of the city. Then we will continue on to the Tiberias. Overnight Tiberias. (B-D)

TUESDAY 17 MAY, 2016 Today we follow the footsteps of Yeshua our Messiah, exploring the Galilee region. Our day begins with a boat ride in traditional fishing boat on the Sea of Galilee, stopping in the middle for a time of reflection and worship. We disembark at Nof Ginnosar, a kibbutz located on the shore of the Galilee where we will see the remains of a boat from the time of Yeshua. You will be given the opportunity of eating St. Peter’s fish for lunch. Then we will arrive at Capernaum, Yeshua’s Galilean base of ministry, where we will visit the ruins of the synagogue where Yesh ua performed many miracles. We will then visit Tabgha where Yeshua multiplied five loaves and two fishes to feed the multitudes. Later we ascend to the top of the Mount of Beatitudes where we’ll reflect on Rabbi Yeshua’s teaching of the Sermon on the Mount. Overnight in Tiberias. (B-D)

WEDNESDAY 18 MAY, 2016 We depart for the Golan Heights and enter the pleasant surrounds of Banyas and Caesarea Philippi where Peter confessed his faith in Yeshua. We have lunch and travel back on the east side of the lake to the site of Gamla, an ancient Jewish city on the Golan Heights, believed to have been founded as a Seleucid fort during the Syrian Wars. It was also the site of a Roman siege during the Great Revolt of the 1st century CE. Gamla is a symbol of heroism for the modern state of Israel and an important historical and archaeological site. Before returning to Tiberias, we’ll calm down at Hamat Gader mineral rich hot springs, unique as a health resort and archaeological site with a stunning view of the Kinneret and Golan Heights. THURSDAY 19 MAY, 2016 After breakfast we depart to Tzfat, the centre of Hasidic Judaism. Stroll through the arcades displaying colourful works of local artists and visit a traditional synagogue. We will then head down to the Mediterranean coast and visit Rosh Hanikra with it’s gleaming white cliffs, beautiful beach and caverns carved out by the pounding waves. But the real excitement begins when you board the cable car for your two-minute ride down the 210-foot cliff. From Rosh HaNikra we’ll make aliyah (going up) to Jerusalem, the City of the Great King, arriving to view the golden city from the Mount of Olives before sunset. Overnight Jerusalem. (B-D)

FRIDAY 20 MAY, 2016Today we begin our exploration of Jerusalem in the Jewish Quarter of the Old City. We will start with a visit to the Jerusalem Archaeological Park & Davidson Centre to learn about the Second Temple Period – the time of Yeshua. From there we will walk to the Western Wall, the most sacred site for the Jewish people, taking some time to pray at the Wall ourselves. Then we will enter the Herodian Tunnel, beneath the Western Wall revealing the depth and size of the Temple support wall constructed during the rule King Herod and coming as close as we can to where the Holy of Holies was situated. This afternoon we will have some time to stroll through the Arab Souqs (markets) before going back to our hotel. Tonight we will enjoy a Shabbat of a lifetime in the city of Jerusalem. SATURDAY 21 MAY, 2016 We awaken in Jerusalem, the geographic centre of the world. On this Sabbath Day we soak up the atmosphere of Jerusalem, a city like no other in the world. Today is a Sabbath Rest in Jerusalem, enjoy a free day with a number of options: Attend Shabbat services, stroll around this ancient city using the Bible as your guidebook, walk along the ramparts, pray at the Western Wall, or go shopping in the Arab souqs (markets). Or perhaps you’d just like to rest at the hotel - the day is yours. Overnight Jerusalem. (B-D)

SUNDAY 22 MAY, 2016 Today we will start our day with a view of Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives. We will make our way to the Garden of Gethsemane and spend a few moments to reflect. Then we will visit the Tomb of Absalom, an ancient monumental rock-cut tomb with a conical roof located in the Kidron Valley. We will continue our exploration with a visit to the ancient City of David, exploring Warrens Shaft and walking through the most amazing Hezekiah’s Tunnel, exiting at the Pool of Siloam. Then we’ll move on to visit Mount Zion, the Upper Room and King David’s Tomb. Later that afternoon, enjoy some rest and afternoon tea (or shop) at the First Station, an Old Ottoman Era Railway Station in Jerusalem. In the evening we see the spectacular sound and light show at the Tower of David. Overnight Jerusalem. (B-D)
