INTRODUCTION The TS02 touch screen is a liquid crystal LCD device with a display which is sensitive to the touch of a finger or pen: it allows commands to be sent to the burglar-alarm system or the AVEbus system and to visualise whether it has been carried out. It can be connected to an AF998EXP burglar alarm control panel with an RS232 type connection and to the AVEbus system through a specific connection to this system. Furthermore it serves as an interface between the two Bus to obtain a reciprocal exchange of information. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

ARCHITECTURE AND CONNECTION TO THE SYSTEM The AF998EXP control panel with version 4.2 (or higher) firmware, together with the AF998SW configuration software, provides for Touch Screen TS02 functioning. The connection between the AF998EXP control panel and the TS02 is made through a TSINT02 interface card connected to the BUS3 connector of the AF998EXP, and a shielded 4 wire cable (2 with 0,5 sqmm section for feeding the TS02, and 2 signallers with 0,22 sqmm section) connected to the RS232 (+ - A B) connector of TS02. In the case of connections of more than one TS02 the first, connected to a central system takes on the function of master, and subsequent ones, that of slaves. The connection between the TS02 MASTER and the TS02 SLAVES (max 7 SLAVES) is always achieved with the AVEbus line, even when this system has not been planned for. The figure shows a block system that summarises what has been described. For further information see the section installation diagrams in this manual. The TS02 MASTER interrogates the control panel AF998EXP approximately every second (automatic polling) requesting the information that must be viewed (status of the areas; status of the inputs; status of the outputs; alarms, etc). At each interrogation the TS02 MASTER sends the date and time to the control panel

AF998EXP that uses it to synchronise the software clock. The TS02 SLAVES are systematically updated by the TS02 MASTER on the status of the control panel AF998EXP (areas, inputs, outputs, alarms). From the point of view of the controls the TS02 SLAVES operate exactly like the TS02 MASTER using the latter to exchange information with the control panel AF998EXP. The only difference is the speed of the reply which, in the case of the TS02 MASTER is immediate, while for the TS02 SLAVES this could have a slight (almost imperceptible) delay of a few tenths of a second. The maximum connection distance between the central station AF998EXP and the TS02 MASTER is of 200 metres with a twisted and shielded cable, and 50 metres with a non-twisted shielded cable. The maximum connection distance between the TS02 MASTER and the TS02 SLAVES is of 200 metres with a twisted and shielded cable, and 100 metres with a non-twisted shielded cable. The dialogue between the TS02 MASTER and the AF998EXP control panel is completely inhibited during the configuration of the control panel, whether this comes about through a personal computer, or through a keyboard through the technical menu.

41

3. Select the button “Chronothermostat, a screen will appear that shows all the parameters concerning thermoregulation:

• Zones: it is necessary to select the temperature area (from 1 to 15) on which to apply the thermostat programming

• Delta (future provisions): The thermostat is set to control fan-coil actuators, where it is useful to regulate the fan speed depending on the difference between room temperature and temperature set on TS02. It is for this reason that it is commonly called the “Delta speed” parameter, (Delta V) or “proportional band”, stated in °C, which establishes the speed of the fan-coil with the following logic; if the difference between the room temperature and the one set on TS02 has a value of:

- Less or equal to “Delta V” ( eg. 2°C) the fan turns at minimum speed (V1); - Between “Delta V” and twice “Delta V” (eg. between 2°C and 4°C) it turns at average

speed (V2); - exceeding twice “Delta V” (eg > 4°C) it turns at maximum speed (V3).

• Differential: the hysteresis or differential in temperature is the difference between the activation and deactivation temperature and it is a parameter that can be set. In the winter cycle the thermostat activates the fan when the room temperature is less than the temperature set on TS02 and deactivates it if the room temperature exceeds by one value (hysteresis) the one that has been set. Vice versa, in the summer cycle, the fan is activated when room temperature exceeds the temperature set on TS02 and it is deactivated if the room temperature is less than one value (hysteresis) than the one that was set.

• Anti-freeze: indicates the minimum temperature value that is guaranteed by the system when in a section of the winter programme no temperature and/or programme has been set

• Daily programme: allows associating up to 7 different programmes to the days of the week

• Programmes: allows setting up to three temperatures and attribute them to the chosen time zones. It is necessary to choose the number of the programme and whether it is a winter or summer programme. N.B. the time zones are subdivided into 30 minute intervals. It is necessary to set the temperature for each interval. If not:

o If it is a winter programme the temperature goes to the value set as anti-freeze.

o If it is a summer programme the fan-coils switch off.

Scenarios with thermoregulating action

The scenario can also include a thermoregulation action. The operation is summed up in the following points.

1. Thermoregulation action is understood as being the possibility of forcing a specific area or all the areas to a fixed temperature (from 5°C to 30°C) for a certain amount of time (from 1 to 255 hours). Even if more than one temperature actions have been set in the same scenario only the first will be executed, the others will not be processed.

2. At the start of the scenario that involves a temperature action, a page will appear that views the data

of the temperature scenario: area; set temperature; duration. The user has the possibility of modifying the temperature parameters and duration and then confirm. N.B.: Should it be possible to insert or disinsert the control panel into the scenario, the temperature window appears after the code has been entered.

3. If, during the period in which the scenario is active another scenario is activated with a temperature

action that involves the same area, the settings of the second scenario will replace those of the first.

4. During the time in which the scenario is active, that includes a thermoregulation action, viewing the temperature state in an area involved in the scenario, the wording “Scenario” will appear, as well as the temperature and the time remaining until expiry of the scenario itself.

5. To set a thermoregulation scenario on specific areas with different temperatures it is necessary to:

a. create a number of X scenarios equal to a number of X areas in which different

temperatures are required. In each area insert a thermoregulation action with the area parameters and desired temperature.

b. In a page of the Domina SW programme, create a page for the X number of scenario-type objects equal to the X number of scenarios created in point a) with relative address (see paragraph “”). N.B.: Assign a different address to the scenarios than the address of the lamp objects found on the panel

c. create a main scenario that includes a number of lamp-type actions equal to the number of scenarios established in point a). For each lamp-type action set the switch on function and address of the relative scenario set in point b).

CONFIGURATING THE TIME SCHEDULER This function allows arranging the operations of the WEEKLY TIME SCHEDULER setting the 8 programmes A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H that can be assigned to the days of week and 32 holidays. Each PROGRAMME contains 20 PITCHES, each has a TIME and scenario which the touch screen completes automatically. To access the programmer it is necessary to enable it.

1. From the main screen of the panel press options. 2. Enable the “Time Scheduler” key. 3. Select the button “Scheduler”.
