• Quite often organisations and individuals desire change and talk about change but are haven’t fully signed up to workload required to make the change.
• For a career change to be successful a number of components need to be in place:

• John Kotter, Professor of Leadership at Harvard Business School introduced an 8 step change process in his 1995 book - Leading Change.
• With slight modification this change roadmap can be successfully applied to Career Change so that an individual’s objectives can be achieved.

Creating and achieving short term goals can keep motivation high

The Career Change road is not an easy option and progress needs to be built on
Don’t take the foot off the pedal because you have made the change
Get feedback from employer or colleagues or customers (if self employment option chosen)

Now that you have made the change, how do you make it stick?
- Continue to acquire relevant skills
