TORAH IN THE BESORAH
TORAH IN THE BESORAH
Rabbin Deborah Brandt
Introdution
I am approaching this paper in a way that even someone who is not educated in
Torah will see the connection of Torah In The New Testament.
Does the Brit Chadasha/New Testament teach and support Torah Law and
principles? If so I will prove that Torah has not been done away with but was
followed in the First Century and that it was never taught that it was obsolete or
done away with in the life a Believer in Messiah Yeshua. In fact after reading the
proof I am presenting in the following pages, the Christian will see that Torah is a
valid part of any believer who confesses faith in the Jewish Messiah, Yeshua.
I believe that the majority of people who try to defend their belief that Torah has
been done away with and that we are no longer 'Under the Law" do not have a clue
what they are talking about! They are merely parroting what was taught then from
the pulpit and Christian Bible Schools without doing the research themselves.
We have to ask ourselves, if the Apostles were not teaching Torah, then what were
they teaching?
A. Greek Philosophy?
B. Roman Law?
C. Promoting a New Religion that frees us from the bondage of the Law?
D. Teaching the Eternal Torah of YHWH/God?
If Torah was done away with then where are the scriptures to support this in
correct context and historical setting? Doe the New Testament really support this
or is there more Torah in the New
Testament then we have realized?
By teaching that Torah has been done away with we have become a stumbling
block to the Jewish people in them being able to come to faith in the true Jewish
Messiah Yeshua.

TORAH IN THE BESORAH
Deuteronomy/Dvarim 13:1-11
Deu 13:1 (13:2) If there arise in the midst of thee a prophet, or a dreamer of
dreams - and he give thee a sign or a wonder,
Deu 13:2 (13:3) and the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spoke unto
thee - saying: 'Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us
serve them';
Deu 13:3 (13:4) thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or unto that
dreamer of dreams; for the LORD your God putteth you to proof, to know
whether ye do love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your
soul.
Deu 13:4 (13:5) After the LORD your God shall ye walk, and Him shall ye fear,
and His commandments shall ye keep, and unto His voice shall ye hearken, and
Him shall ye serve, and unto Him shall ye cleave.
Deu 13:5 (13:6) And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to
death; because he hath spoken perversion against the LORD your God, who
brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed thee out of the house of
bondage, to draw thee aside out of the way which the LORD thy God
commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put away the evil from the midst of
thee.
Deu 13:6 (13:7) If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter,
or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, that is as thine own soul, entice thee
secretly, saying: 'Let us go and serve other gods,' which thou hast not known,
thou, nor thy fathers;
Deu 13:7 (13:8) of the gods of the peoples that are round about you, nigh unto
thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end
of the earth;
Deu 13:8 (13:9) thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither
shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him;
Deu 13:9 (13:10) but thou shalt surely kill him; thy hand shall be first upon him to
put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.
Deu 13:10 (13:11) And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die; because he
hath sought to draw thee away from the LORD thy God, who brought thee out
of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
Deu 13:11 (13:12) And all Israel shall hear, and fear, and shall do no more any
such wickedness as this is in the midst of thee. (Jewish Publication Society
Translation)
So in essence when we teach incorrectly that Yeshua/Jesus did away with the
Torah/Law, Shabbat and The Feasts that we are saying he is not the Messiah but a
false prophet according to Jewish understanding and Law.

TORAH IN THE BESORAH
However we will prove, just like an attorney proves his case with evidence that
Yeshua/Jesus nor any of the Apostle s ever taught a Torahless/Lawless Gospel!
Some eye opening Jewish quotes;
"It is important to note that Rabbinic Judaism has always recognized 2 different
religious codes, the 613 precepts given to the Jews & Israel following their
liberation from Egypt and the earlier Noahide system for all mankind.
Maimonides encouraged such dialogue with Christians. he reasoned that even if
nothing positive develops from such talks, no harm will emerge either, since "they
will not find in their Torah (the Christian Bible) anything that conflicts with our
Torah."1 (Response of Maimonides no. 364 pg 331-332 Freeman Edition 1934)
Talmudist Rabbi Jacob Emden, whose letter to the Polish rabbinate of his time
concerning Christianity....'Jesus never intended to abolish Judaism, but only to
establish a new religion for the Gentiles based on the Noahide laws. Seder Olan
Rabbah Vezuta 17372
The point being made here is that even ancient Rabbis recognized the Jewishness
of Yeshua's/Jesus teachings and that the New Testament did not conflict with
Torah.
R. Jacob Emden held, Christianity was established entirely according to Jewish
Law (haholal pi din v'dat torateinu)3
Author Harvey Faulk "Jesus of Nazareth" according to our thesis - never wished to
see his fellow Jews change one iota of their traditional faith. He himself remained
an Orthodox Jew to his last moment.4

"In the reading of the Brit Chadasha/New Testament, often times we forget the
principle or do not even think about it, assuming the Brit Chadasha is proof unto
itself. However, we know this is not so, rather the TANAKH plays an important
part in painting a picture of what the first century writers believed about the
expectations, life an teachings of the Mashiach. Everything we read in the Brit
Chadasha must have its validation from the Torah, Nevim(Prophets) and Ketuvim
(Writtings)5- TANAKH. Anything less is circular reasoning.. In the first century
the Jewish people only had the TENAKH as their Bible. Of course, there was no
such thing as the New Testament at the time of Yeshua's ministry. Yeshua,
Mattiyahu, Mark, Luke and Yochanan, Ya'acov, Kefa/Peter and Shaul/Paul
referred only to the authority of the TENAKH in proving their conclusions.6

TORAH IN THE BESORAH
The Torah of Yeshua
It would be impossible to go through all of the Torah based teachings of Yeshua in
this short paper, however I will look at the following Torah based teachings of
Yeshua so we can appreciate his Torah Midrash par excellence.
The Sermon On the Mount
According to Elezar Brandt a Messianic Jew, the Beatitudes are actually
TANACK phrases in the form of blessing, representing the Messianic age. At
the end of them Yeshua says “How blessed are you when people insult you and
persecute you and tell all kinds of viscous lies about you because you follow me”
By pronouncing this blessing in the context of the Messianic blessings, he is
saying in CODE, that is He is The Messiah- which must have surprised and
shocked his hearers.
Yeshua training His Talmidim in Torah.
Matthew 5:1-2
Mat 5:1 And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was
set, his disciples came unto him:
Mat 5:2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,
A few (very few) of the most outstanding Beth Midrash students sought permission
to study with a famous rabbi often leaving home to travel with him for a lengthy
period of time. These students were called talmidim (talmid, s.) in Hebrew, which
is translated disciple. There is much more to a talmid than what we call student. A
student wants to know what the teacher knows for the grade, to complete the class
or the degree or even out of respect for the teacher. A talmid wants to be like the
teacher, that is to become what the teacher is. That meant that students were
passionately devoted to their rabbi and noted everything he did or said. This meant
the rabbi-talmid relationship was a very intense and personal system of education.
As the rabbi lived and taught his understanding of the Scripture his students
8 | P a g e
TORAH IN THE BESORAH
(talmidim) listened and watched and imitated so as to become like him. Eventually
they would become teachers passing on a lifestyle to their talmidim.
The decision to follow a rabbi as a talmid meant total commitment in the first
century as it does today. Since a talmid was totally devoted to becoming like the
rabbi he would have spent his entire time listening and observing the teacher to
know how to understand the Scripture and how to put it into practice. Jesus
describes his relationship to his disciples in exactly this way (Matt. 10:24-25; Luke
6:40) He chose them to be with him (Mark 3:13-19) so they could be like him
(John 13:15).
Most students sought out the rabbis they wished to follow. This happened to Jesus
on occasion (Mark 5:19; Luke 9:57). There were a few exceptional rabbis who
were famous for seeking out their own students. If a student wanted to study with a
rabbi he would ask if he might "follow" the rabbi. The rabbi would consider the
students potential to become like him and whether he would make the commitment
necessary. It is likely most students were turned away. Some of course were
invited to "follow me". This indicated the rabbi believed the potential talmid had
the ability and commitment to become like him. It would be a remarkable
affirmation of the confidence the teacher had in the student. In that light, consider
whether the disciples of Jesus were talmidim as understood by the people of his
time. They were to be "with" him Mark 3:13-19; to follow him Mark 1:16-20; to
live by his teaching John 8:31; were to imitate his actions John 13:13-15; were to
make everything else secondary to their learning from the rabbi Luke 14:26.7
Mat 5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Vs. 3 To be “poor in spirit” in Jewish thought carries the connotation of being
humble or contrite enough to receive the Word of G-d.]
Proverbs 29:23
Mat 5:5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Vs. 5 Another word for meekness is humility
Mat 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they
shall be filled.
Vs. 6 Subject is righteousness and the desired action is to hunger and thirst for
it

TORAH IN THE BESORAH
Mat 5:7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
Vs 7 The Greek word for merciful is Eleio which translates the Hebrew word
Chesed. Chesed means undeserved kindness, pity
The lesson is simple, to those who show “Chesed” Mercy, Hashem shows
Chesed, Mercy. If we do not show mercy then HaShem is under no obligation
to show us mercy. But as He continually pardons and forgives we must also do
the same for each other.]
Matthew 6:14-15, Mark 11:25-26
Mat 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
Vs. 8 What was Mashiach Y’shua referring to when He expressed these words
about have a “pure heart”
Psalm 119:9-11
From these scriptures we learn that one who is “pure’ is one who treasures the
Word of G-d in his heart.
Psalm 119:9
Psalm 19:9
Those who accept and live by the Mosaic teaching of G-d will see G-d because
He reveals Himself in this way. So our understanding of “purity” from the Bible
involved ordering our lives according to Torah the way G-d intended it.
Mat 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
Vs. 9 The term “Peace Maker’ in Yeshua’s day was one filled with generosity,
also know as having a “good eye” the opposite of an “evil eye’ or stinginess
Matthew 6:19-34
According to Oral Torah having a “good eye” meant giving 1/30th or perhaps
1/40th of the corners of your field to the poor. Having an evil eye meant giving
only the minimum of 1/60th
An “average eye” or “neutral eye” meant giving 1/50th.
According to Yeshua, those who went beyond the minimum of 1/60th of
generousity in taking care of the poor were considered “Sons of G-d”

Mat 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs
is the kingdom of heaven.
Vs. 10 “persecuted” lit translation
“Blessed are those who pursue righteousness (and are persecuted) for theirs is
the Kingdom of Heaven”
Meaning those who commit themselves to practicing a Torah True lifestyle will
be blessed.
Mat 5:11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall
say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
Vs. 11 The pursuit of a Yeshua centered Torah lifestyle has a cost
Joh 15:20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than
his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have
kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
Joh 15:21 But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because
they know not him that sent me.

Yeshua’s Torah Obedient parents
Luek 2:21 And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the
child, his name was called YESHUA/JESUS, which was so named of the angel
before he was conceived in the womb.
Luke 2:22 And when the days of her purification according to the law of
Moses were accomplished, they brought him to Jerusalem, to present him to
the Lord;
Luke 2:23 (As it is written in the law of the Lord, Every male that openeth the
womb shall be called holy to the Lord;)
Luke 2:24 And to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the law of
the Lord, A pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons. ESV
Circumcision and Purification (2:21–22)
Circumcision was a sign that a person belonged to the Jewish covenant. This rite
had been performed by all Jewish parents since the time of Abraham (Gen. 17:11–
12; 21:4; Lev. 12:3). This marked a person off as Jew (see Phil. 3:5). Circumcision
rites were accompanied by celebration and rejoicing. Friends and neighbors joined
in. Usually, the head of the house performed the operation on the child. Other nations
also circumcised, but the Jews held it sacred as a part of their covenant identity. This
ritual brought the child into God’s family and obligated the child to fulfill the duties
of the covenant, including keeping the Jewish laws and customs. As with John in
1:59, so Jesus is pictured as fulfilling the expectations Jews placed on a family for
their male children. Jesus fulfilled the requirements of Jewish law. No one could
accuse him of sin in that regard.
Purification rites were for the mother of a child (Lev. 12:6). The mother was
ceremonially unclean for seven days after the birth and then she could circumcise
the child on the eighth day. But she had to remain home for thirty-three more days.
On the fortieth day she offered a sacrifice at the Nicanor Gate on the east side of the
Court of Women in the temple. Jesus’ mother, like the Son, completed all the
requirements of the law. Even the birth of the Messiah brought ritual uncleanness on
his mother and forced her withdrawal from social activities for forty days.
Incarnation came amid life’s daily rites and rituals. Joseph and Mary revealed their
12 | P a g e

lowly financial status by offering a pair of birds (Lev. 12:8) rather than the normal
lamb with a bird (Lev. 12:6).1
The gospels make it very clear that Yeshua’s parents were obedient to the
Torah of Moses, she waited the time prescribed for cleansing, brought Yeshua
to be circumsized and offerd up the sacrifice required by the Torah.
No, the Baptists did not invent Water Baptism, it was a Jewish custom
John 1:26 John answered them, "I baptize/immerse with water, but among you
stands one you do not know,
John 1:27 even he who comes after me, the strap of whose sandal I am not worthy
to untie."
John 1:28 These things took place in Bethany across the Jordan, where John was
baptizing/immersing.
John 1:29 The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, "Behold, the
Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!
John 1:30 This is he of whom I said, 'After me comes a man who ranks before
me, because he was before me.'
John 1:31 I myself did not know him, but for this purpose I came
baptizing/immersing with water, that he might be revealed to Israel."
John 1:32 And John bore witness: "I saw the Spirit descend from heaven like a
dove, and it remained on him.
John 1:33 I myself did not know him, but he who sent me to baptize/immerse
with water said to me, 'He on whom you see the Spirit descend and remain,
this is he who baptizes with the Ruach Hakodesh/Holy Spirit.' ESV
Mikveh or mikvah (Hebrew: ִמְקֶוה / מקווה, Modern mikve, Tiberian miqwe,
pl. mikva'ot or (Yiddish) mikves,[1][2] lit. "a collection") is a bath used for the
purpose of ritual immersion in Judaism. In the Hebrew Bible, the word is
employed in its broader sense but generally means a collection of water.[3] Several
biblical regulations specify that full immersion in water is required to regain ritual
purity after ritually impure incidents have occurred. A person was required to be
ritually pure in order to enter the Temple. In addition, a convert to Judaism is
required to immerse in a mikveh as part of the his/her conversion, and a woman is
required to immerse in a mikveh after her menstrual period or childbirth before she
and her husband can resume marital relations. In this context, "purity" and
"impurity" are imperfect translations of the Hebrew "tahara" and "tumah",
respectively, in that the negative connotation of the word impurity is not intended;
13 | P a g e
TORAH IN THE BESORAH
rather being "impure" is indicative of being in a state in which certain things are
prohibited (as relevant) until one has become "pure" again by immersion in a
mikveh.
Most forms of impurity can be nullified through immersion in any natural
collection of water. However, some impurities, such as a zav, require "living
water,"[4] such as springs or groundwater wells. Living water has the further
advantage of being able to purify even while flowing, as opposed to rainwater
which must be stationary in order to purify. The mikveh is designed to simplify this
requirement, by providing a bathing facility that remains in ritual contact with a
natural source of water.

Yeshua’s Torah Observance and Keeping of Mitzvot8
The Mitzvah In Besorah/Gospels
Luke 8:44
Luk 8:43 And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had
spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any,
Luk 8:44 Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and
immediately her issue of blood stanched.
Yeshua wore fringes according to Numbers 15:37ff.
Num 15:37 And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
Num 15:38 `Speak unto the sons of Israel, and thou hast said unto them, and
they have made for themselves fringes on the skirts of their garments, to
their generations, and they have put on the fringe of the skirt a ribbon of
blue,
Num 15:39 and it hath been to you for a fringe, and ye have seen it, and have
remembered all the commands of Jehovah, and have done them, and ye
search not after your heart, and after your eyes, after which ye are going a-
whoring;
Law of Tzizit
The Hebrew noun tzitzit [tsiˈtsit] (Hebrew: ציצית, Modern tzitzit,
Tiberian sˤisˤiṯ) is the name for specially knotted ritual fringes, or tassels,
worn in antiquity by Israelites and today by observant Jews and Samaritans.
Tzitzit are attached to the four corners of the tallit (prayer shawl) and tallit
katan (everyday undergarment)
The Torah states in Numbers 15:38: "Speak to the children of Israel, and say
to them, that they shall make themselves fringes on the corners of their
garments throughout their generations, and they shall put on the corner fringe
a blue (tekhelet) thread." Wearing the tzitzit is also commanded in
8 Friedman, D. (2001). They loved the Torah: What Yeshua's first followers really thought about the Law. Baltimore, MD: Messianic Jewish Publishers.

TORAH IN THE BESORAH
Deuteronomy 22:12: "You shall make yourself twisted threads, on the four
corners of your garment with which you cover yourself."
Fringes, tzitziyot, today are attached to the tallit and tallit katan. The tallit
katan itself is commonly referred to as tzitzit. According to the Torah, the
purpose of wearing tzitzit is to remind Jews of their religious obligations. In
addition, it serves as a reminder of the Exodus from Egypt (Numbers 15:40).
The Talmud equates its observance with that of all the mitzvot. Maimonides
(Commentary on Pirkei Avot 2:1) includes it as a major commandment along
with circumcision and the Passover offering.
The blue thread is omitted by some Jews due to controversy over the dye-
making process (see tchelet).

Luk 10:27 And he answering said, `Thou shalt love the Lord thy God out of

all thy understanding, and thy neighbour as thyself.'
Luk 10:28 And he said to him, `Rightly thou didst answer; this do, and thou

Yeshua encouraged a Torah-teacher to keep Deuteronomy 6:4 and
Leviticus 19:18.
Deu 6:4 `Hear, O Israel, Jehovah our God is one Jehovah; YLT

Shema Yisrael (or Sh'ma Yisrael; Hebrew: ְשַמע ִיְשָרֵאל; "Hear, [O] Israel")
are the first two words of a section of the Torah, and is the title (sometimes
shortened to simply Shema) of a prayer that serves as a centerpiece of the
morning and evening Jewish prayer services. The first verse encapsulates the
monotheistic essence of Judaism: "Hear, O Israel: the LORD our God, the
LORD is one", found in Deuteronomy 6:4, sometime alternately translated
17 | P a g e
TORAH IN THE BESORAH
as "The LORD is our God, the LORD alone." Observant Jews consider the
Shema to be the most important part of the prayer service in Judaism, and its
twice-daily recitation as a mitzvah (religious commandment). It is traditional
for Jews to say the Shema as their last words, and for parents to teach their
children to say it before they go to sleep at night.
The term "Shema" is used by extension to refer to the whole part of the daily
prayers that commences with Shema Yisrael and comprises Deuteronomy
6:4–9, 11:13-21, and Numbers 15:37–41. These sections of the Torah are
read in the weekly Torah portions Va'etchanan, Eikev, and Shlach,
respectively.10
Luke 11:27–28
Luk 11:27 And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman
of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the
womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked.
Luk 11:28 But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of
God, and keep it.
Yeshua taught that they who keep and obey Torah and its Mitzvot, are
blessed.
John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
Matthew 5:17-19
Mat 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I
am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
Mat 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or
one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Mat 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least
commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in
the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same
shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

TORAH IN THE BESORAH
To “FulFill" And "To Destroy" As An Idiom 11
To 'fulfill the law' as a Jewish idiom means to "interpret correctly." And to
'destroy the law' means to 'incorrectly interpret.' Therefore, in this context,
Yeshua stated His purpose was to 'fulfill' the Torah and He then proceeded
to 'correctly interpret' the Torah in the sermon which immediately follows
[in a "You have heard, but I say...." format.] At the time of Yeshua, the
Torah had been interpreted incorrectly, many laws had been added to Torah,
some of which actually contradicted the very Torah they sought to explain.
Even Sha'ul warned, "From which some having swerved have turned aside
unto vain jangling; Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither
what they say, nor whereof they affirm. But we know that the law is good, if
a man use it lawfully." 1 Tim 6:6-8 Yeshua uses the Torah lawfully, He
correctly interprets its meaning for mankind.
Yeshua taught that the Torah will not pass away until physical planet
earth passes away.
Luke17:11–15
Luk 17:12 And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men
that were lepers, which stood afar off:
Luk 17:13 And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have
mercy on us.
Luk 17:14 And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves
unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.
Yeshua encouraged receivers of God’s mercy to obey Torah by carrying out
the Mitzvot pertaining to skin diseases.
In the Second Temple and Talmud12
The laws of leprosy are given in great detail in the Talmud, and a whole
tractate of the Mishnah and Tosefta, *Nega'im, is devoted to them. It is
reported that in the courtyard of the Temple itself, on the northwest, there
was the Chamber of the Lepers where the lepers remained after they had
been cured, and where they bathed on the eighth day of their purification,

2:5). In the New Testament there are numerous references to lepers. In the
two instances in which Jesus is said to have cured lepers (one an individual –
Luke 5:12–14; cf. Matt. 8:3; and the other a group of ten – Luke 17:12), he
told them, "Go show yourself to the priest," after their cure, and one passage
(Luke 5:14) adds, "and make an offering for thy cleansing, as Moses
commanded…" This is evidence that the biblical laws were in operation,
both as regards the functions of the priest and the obligatory offering. The
Apostles are told in general to cleanse the lepers (Matt. 10:8; Luke 7:22).
The Role of the Priest
The Israelite priest, while usually not involved in individual healing
according to the Bible, is involved in epidemics where he intercedes through
sacrifices, Num. 17:11ff.; II Sam. 24:25 – David officiating as priest. Deut.
24:8–9, which deals with contagious skin diseases enumerated here is a
possible exception; and contrast the laws pertaining to gonorrhea, Lev. 15.
The priest was called in to inspect the affliction. If "leprosy" was only
suspected but not certain, the priest imposed a seven-day quarantine. At the
end of this period the afflicted was examined again, and if no further
degeneration was apparent he was isolated for another week, after which he
could be pronounced healed. The priest, however, did nothing to promote
the cure. His rituals were performed only after the disease had passed. It was
the responsibility of the afflicted himself to pray (I Kings 8:37–38; II Kings
20:2–3) and fast (II Sam. 12:16) in order to win God's healing. Deuteronomy
24:8–9 charges the people to follow the authority of the priests in all matters
dealing with "leprosy," citing as precedent the case of Miriam (see Num.
12:11–16), who challenged the authority of Moses (alternatively, the late
writer of Numbers 12 (see Sperling) was inspired by the juxtaposition of
priestly authority in matters of "leprosy" with the mention of the unnamed
punishment laid on Miriam by God in Deuteronomy 24:9). It is noteworthy
that in Miriam's case healing did not come through Aaron the priest, who
was a party to the offense, but through the prophet Moses and his prayer. In
the Bible, healing comes from God directly (Ex. 15:26) or through the

prophet (e.g., Moses, Ex. 15:25; Elisha, II Kings 2:21; Isaiah, II Kings 20:7–

The Ten Commandments are the first ten of the 613 commandments
given by God to the Jewish people. They form the foundation of Jewish
ethics, behavior and responsibility. These commandments are
mentioned in order twice in the Torah - once each in the Book of
Exodus and the Book of Deuteronomy.14

The ancient Rabbis isolated 613 separate commandments in the entire Law of Moses, but these 10 are the principles upon which the rest are based. By themselves they are called “The Words of the Covenant”. The first 4 Commandments deal with reverence for God directly, while the latter six refer to man’s relationship with his fellow man. Barech: Grace after Meals
The content of the seder is summed up in fourteen parts:
Kaddesh (Sancitifcation), Urechatz (Washing), Karpas (Vegetable),
Yachatz (Breaking),
Maggid (The Story), Rachtzah (Washing), Motzi Matzah (Blessings),
Maror (Bitter Herbs), Korech (Sandwich), Shulchan Orech (Dinner),
Tzafun (Dessert), Barech (Grace), Hallel (Song), Nirtzah (Closing)
The third cup of wine is poured, and grace after meals is recited. This is
similar to the grace that would be said on any Sabbath. At the end, a blessing
is said over the third cup and it is drunk. The fourth cup is poured,
including a cup set aside for the prophet Elijah, who is supposed to
herald the Messiah, and is supposed to come on Passover to do this.15

Yeshua Honored the Shabbat
Mat_12:1 At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and
his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to
eat.
Mat_12:2 But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy
disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day.
Mat_12:5 Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the
priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?
Mat_12:8 For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.
Mat_12:10 And, behold, there was a man which had his hand withered. And
they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they
might accuse him.
Mat_12:11 And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you,
that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he
not lay hold on it, and lift it out?
Mat_12:12 How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is
lawful to do well on the sabbath days.
Mat_24:20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the
sabbath day:
Mar_6:2 And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the
synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence
hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto
him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands?
Luk_4:16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as
his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood
up for to read.
Yeshua’s students kept the Sabbath, even on such a tension-filled day,
thereby reflecting their rabbi’s attitude toward the Sabbath.
According to the Book of Exodus, work is to cease on the seventh day in
order to give slaves and draft animals rest, a statute that must be observed
even during the critical plowing and harvest seasons. The Book of
Deuteronomy's version embodies this humanitarian motive in its divergent
25 | P a g e
TORAH IN THE BESORAH
rationale of the Shabbat rest - Israel is to keep the Shabbat so that its slaves
might rest, and because God so commanded. God's instructions for building
the Tabernacle begins with an admonition to keep the Shabbat, indicating its
precedence even over the duty of building the Sanctuary. The Shabbat is then
called a sign of both God's consecration of Israel and of His six-day creation.
The Nature of Shabbat
The Shabbat is one of the best known and least understood of all Jewish
observances. People who do not generally observe the stringencies of the
day think of it as a day filled with stifling restrictions, or as a day of prayer
like the Christian Shabbat. But to those who observe Shabbat, it is a day of
great joy eagerly awaited throughout the week, a time when we can set aside
all of our weekday concerns and devote ourselves to higher pursuits.
In Jewish literature, poetry and music, Shabbat is described as a bride or
queen, as in the popular Shabbat hymn Lecha Dodi. It is said "more than
Israel has kept Shabbat, Shabbat has kept Israel." Shabbat is primarily a day
of rest and spiritual enrichment. The word "Shabbat" comes from the root
Shin-Bet-Tav, meaning to cease, to end, or to rest.
Shabbat is the most important ritual observance in Judaism and is the only
ritual observance instituted in the Ten Commandments. It is also the most
important special day, even more so than Yom Kippur.16

The role of this passage in Judaism is perhaps best exemplified by where
Rambam places it in Sefer HaMitzvos, where he lists the commandments in
logical order beginning with those most central to Jewish belief and
observance.
Primary in his list is the commandment to believe in God, which I embodied
in the first of the Ten Commandments. “I am YHWH, your God” Because
without God who commands, there are no commandments.
The second and third of Rambams commandments (list) are contained in the

One expresses love of YHWH by performing His commandments
lovingly. There is no comparison between one who serves a master out of
love and one who does so out of fear. One who is motivated by fear may
go his own way if the tasks become difficult (Rashi) but one who serves
out of love ready to make great sacrifices for the object of His affection.
Since love is an emotion, how can one be commanded to love? The Torah
answers this question in the next few verses by saying that Jews should
think about the Torah, study it, and teach it. When one meditates on God’s
great and wonderous deeds and creations, and sees in them His
incomparable and infinite wisdom, one will immediately come to love and
praise Him and be filled with longing to know Him.

“With All Your Heart”
The Sages interpret the heart as a metaphor for the seat of craving and
operation. Love God with both your good and evil inclinations (Rashi).
The means one should love God by following ones’ good inclination to
perform commandments and by rejecting the bad inclination to sin
(Talmidai R. Yonah)
Alternately the “evil inclination” refers to man’s earthly cravings i.e. the
desire for food, drink and physical gratification and the like. By
channeling even these drives to the service of God one serves Him with
both inclinations (Rambam).
“With All Your Soul”
The Sages express it “Your must love God even if He takes your life”
(Berachos 54a) Implying that if a Jew must accept martyrdom, he should
do so with the attitude that he is not the victim of a human murderer, but
that he has scaled the spiritual height of giving up his soul to God.
(Aeshech)
The great R. Akeva was joyous while he was being tortured to death. To his
incredulous disciples, he explained “All my life, I prayed that I would be
able to maintain my love of God even if it cost me my life. Now that I
have succeeded in doing so, should I not be happy?” (Berchos 61b)

Deuteronomy 6:13 – “Shall you fear:” After the commandment to love God,
Moses added the complimentary commandment to fear Him. Love
motivates people to serve, fear prevents them from sinning (Rambam)
There are 2 categories of fear. The lesser of the two is the primal fear of
punishment and pain. The higher and more desirable fear, more aptly
called reverence or awe, is over powering respect, which in itself will
prevent sin.
“And in His name you shall swear”
This is not meant as a positive command, for it is preferable not to take oaths;

By definition, perfection can not be improved upon so that for one to add to or
subtract from the commandments of the Torah is an unacceptable implication
that God’s Torah is lacking. God has fallen short which is a as disrespectful
as saying that the commandment was wrong or irrevelant.
Keil & Deletzsch commentary Deu 10:20-21
Deu_4:2
The observance of the law, however, required that it should be kept as it was
given, that nothing should be added to it or taken from it, but that men should
submit to it as to the inviolable word of God. Not by omissions only, but by
additions also, was the commandment weakened, and the word of God
turned into ordinances of men, as Pharisaism sufficiently proved. This precept
is repeated in Deu_13:1; it is then revived by the prophets (Jer_26:2;
Pro_30:6), and enforced again at the close of the whole revelation
(Rev_22:18-19). In the same sense Christ also said that He had not come to
destroy the law or the prophets, but to fulfil (Mat_5:17); and the old covenant
was not abrogated, but only glorified and perfected, by the new.
I might add that the Gentile Church has done this as well, they have taken
away the authority of Torah and weakened it by saying it no longer applies.

"There is little point in being circumcised or baptized unless a person
demonstrates that the Ruach HaKodesh is working in their heart and that they
desire to conform their lives to Mashiyach, the Word of YHWH.
Rav Shaul taught that faith and intent of the heart determines whether or not a
person is ready to
be circumcised and walk in Torah. At no time did Shaul ever teach against
either circumcision or Torah; however, he opposed the "traditions of the
Pharisees" who demanded blind observance to their religious traditions. Rav
Shaul required that Gentile converts be taught about Covenant and have clear
understanding of what they were doing in relationship to YHWH and His
Mashiyah becuse to be expected to know and observe complex hallakha at
early stages of believe was unacceptable.
It is very evident that Abraham received instruction before his circumcision,
and he is the father of Faith for both Jews and Gentile alike. Abraham was
circumcised at age 99 after receiving the commandment directly from
YHWH; therefore, each adult also must first be called and agree to enter into
Covenant with YHWH. Abraham was counted righteous before he was
circumcised because he had Faith to observe all that YHWH commanded.

Num 15:41 I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land
of Egypt to be your God: I am the LORD your God.
The Sidra concludes with a passage that brings home to the Jewish people the
obligation to remember all of the commandments, for it is fallacious to think
Judaism can rest only on the foundation of such primary commandents is
belief in God adn observances of teh Sabbath, vital though they are. The
commandment of Tzitzit, the Torah states, is a vehicle that enable the Jew to
remember all teh Torah precepts.

Tzitzit i.e fringes
Alternately the word refers not to the fringes themselves, but to whay they call
upon the wearer to do. The related word, Tav Zayin Yod means to pear at
something intensely (Song of Soloman 2:9) and as stated in vs 39, we should
look at the Tzitzit in order to remember all the commandments "on the corner
fo the garments"
The corner of a garment are accesible and visable, which is important in the
context of this commandment, since the fringes must be seen in order to serve
as reminders (michtav meEliyahu)
Torquise wool: one of the strings o feach fringe is to be dyed turquise blue
with the blood of an aquatic creature know as Chilazan (Rashi). Blue
represents duty to YHWH and Techiles is similar to the color of the sea, the
sea to the sky adn teh sky to YHWH's throne of Glory.
Alternately the fringes are like a royal insignia remindg the wearer that they
are always in the service of the King. According to Rambam, the reminder is
provided by the symbolism of the turquies thread, which is reminiscent of the
Throne of Glory.
And Remember: The numerical value of teh word TzitTzit is 600 adn there
are 8 threads adn 5 knots for a total of 613, the number of Scriptural
commandments.

Deuteronomy 6:8 You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall

Chumash:
"Upon your arm" "Between Your Eyes"
The Torah commands that this passage be written and inserted into Tefillen
that are to be placed on the upper arm adn on the head, above the hariline
directly above the space between the eyes.
Scriptures to put inside the Tefillin are: Ex. 13:1-16, Deut 6:4-9, Deut 11:13-

because it displays for all to see that the Jew consider this sign of devotion to
God to be his ornament.

TORAH IN THE BESORAH
Tefillen and The Exodus (Chumash)
The 4 scriptural passages that are contained in the Tefillin - The first 2
passages of The Shema and the 2 passages from Exodus 13 are basic to
Judaism. The 2 passages from Exodus 13 speak
of the Exodus which is the basic to the Jews awareness o fhis responsibility to
God, who liberated Him adn made Israel a nation. Teh first 2 passages of the
Shema express teh concept that YHWH is ONE adn that we accept His
Kingship, the concept of reward and punishment and the responsiblity to
observe all the commandments. These principles must always be with us -
upon the arm that symolizes our capacity for action and is opposite the heart,
the seat of emotion, and upon the head, the abode of teh intellecual soul adn
the power of memory which enables us to be conscious of our antecendents
and obligations to do His will.
The Torah repeats over and over that commandments are reminders of the
Exodus from Egypt. Clearly therefore there is a dimension of the Exodus that
affects the entire Torah.
Only a few generations after Creation man was infected by the germ of
idolatry. This heresy takes many forms (most of which are prevelant even
today).
Some claim that the world always existed adn that there was no creation.
Others deny that He is aware of daily occurrences, that He is not involved in
human affairs, or that there is no reward or punishment. The Exodus refuted
all of these notions, it showed that nothing and no one can thwart His will,
that He communicates with man through His prophets adn that He carries out
His word at will.
The message of the Exodus isnot only basic to our belief and existence, but it
must be reiterated constantly. Therefore we wear it on our person in the form
of Teffillin and recall it when we perform His commandments.

TORAH IN THE BESORAH
The commandment is that a person should relate the praises of the Holy One,
blessed is He, after he should ask his needs, and after that he is to give
praise or thanks to the blessed one God.
It is necessary to pray with the focused attention of the heart, and should turn
the heart away from every thought and he should see himself as though
standing before the Shekinah.
A. M. H. H.—In Rabbinical Literature:
The word "tefillah" is defined as "thought" and "hope" (comp. ; Gen.
xlviii. 11), as representing the means of reasoning and discriminating (Comp.
; Ex. ix. 4) between good and evil. A tefillah consists of two parts: (1)
Benedictions, or praises of God's greatness and goodness, and expressions of
gratitude for benefits received; (2) petitions, of either a public or private
character. A tefillah is called a "service of the heart." "Ye shall serve the Lord
your God" (Ex. xxiii. 25) is understood as "Ye shall worship God in prayer."
The Patriarchs were the first authors of prayers, and are credited with
instituting those for the morning, afternoon, and evening (see Abudarham,
"Ḥibbur Perush ha-Berakot weha-Tefillot," p. 8a, Venice, 1566). Moses was
the author of the phrase, "a great God, a mighty, and a terrible" (Deut. x. 17),
which was incorporated into the opening of the 'Amidah (Yer. Ber. vii. 3;
Yoma 69b). David and Daniel prayed thrice daily (Ps. lv. 17; Dan. vi. 10).
Shemoneh 'Esreh Amidah
The first benediction in the Shemoneh 'Esreh is called "Birkat Abot"; the
second relates to resurrection; the third is the Ḳedushshah. The three
concluding benedictions are: Reẓeh (on the restoration of Zion); Modim (on
gratitude to God); and Sim Shalom (a prayer for peace). The intermediate
thirteen benedictions are solicitations for public and personal welfare. The
abridgment of the thirteen benedictions is known as "Habinenu," and reads as
follows: (1) "Grant us, O Lord our God, wisdom to learn Thy ways; (2)
subject our hearts to Thy fear; (3) forgive our sins; (4) redeem us; (5) keep us
from suffering; (6) satisfy us with the products of Thy earth; (7) gather our;
dispersed from all quarters; (8) judge us in Thy faith; (9) punish the wicked;
(10) reward the righteous; (11) rebuild Thy city and reconstruct Thy Temple;

generations of Jesse's son, Thy anointed; (13) anticipate our call by Thy

epitome of the nineteen benedictions. According to R. Akiba, if one is pressed
for time, or if for other reasons one is unable to fully recite the benedictions,
one may use this abridgment (Ber. iv. 3, 4).

passed by on the other side.
Luk 10:33 But a Samaritan, as he journeyed, came to where he was, and
when he saw him, he had compassion.
Luk 10:34 He went to him and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and
wine. Then he set him on his own animal and brought him to an inn and
took care of him.
Luk 10:35 And the next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the
innkeeper, saying, 'Take care of him, and whatever more you spend, I will
repay you when I come back.'
Luk 10:36 Which of these three, do you think, proved to be a neighbor to the
man who fell among the robbers?"
Luk 10:37 He said, "The one who showed him mercy." And Jesus said to
him, "You go, and do likewise."

1) WHAT ARE MY GIVING PRIORITIES?
Centuries ago, Rabbi Yosef, an ancient scholar, came up with one system for
guiding decisions about offering financial assistance. Though you might
disagree with his choices, Rabbi Yosef offers us a model for assigning priority
to certain causes and populations, and for being decisive and systematic—
rather than reactive and haphazard—about where we give tzedakah.
Babylonian Talmud Bava Metzia 71a
Rabbi Yosef taught [about the verse in the Torah that says]:
“If you lend money to any of my people that are poor with you.”1
[This verse teaches that if you have to choose between:]
• a Jew and a non-Jew, give to the Jew first;
• a poor person and a rich person, give to the poor person first;
• a poor relative and poor people in your town, give to your poor relative first;
• poor people in your city and poor people in another city, give to the poor
people of your own town first.

Lev_19:4 Turn ye not unto idols, nor make to yourselves molten gods: I am
the LORD your God.
Lev_26:1 Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a
standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow
down unto it: for I am the LORD your God.
Lev_26:30 And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your images,
and cast your carcases upon the carcases of your idols, and my soul shall
abhor you.
Deu_29:17 And ye have seen their abominations, and their idols, wood and
stone, silver and gold, which were among them:)
Exo_20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of
any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in
the water under the earth:
Lev_26:1 Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a
standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow
down unto it: for I am the LORD your God.
Deu_4:16 Lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the
similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female,
Deu_4:23 Take heed unto yourselves, lest ye forget the covenant of the
LORD your God, which he made with you, and make you a graven image, or
the likeness of any thing, which the LORD thy God hath forbidden thee.
Deu_4:25 When thou shalt beget children, and children's children, and ye
shall have remained long in the land, and shall corrupt yourselves, and make a
graven image, or the likeness of any thing, and shall do evil in the sight of the
LORD thy God, to provoke him to anger:
Deu_5:8 Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of any
thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the
waters beneath the earth:
Deu_27:15 Cursed be the man that maketh any graven or molten image, an
abomination unto the LORD, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and
putteth it in a secret place. And all the people shall answer and say, Amen.
1Sa_15:23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as
iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he
hath also rejected thee from being king.

1Co_10:14 Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.
Gal_5:20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife,
seditions, heresies,
Col_3:5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth;
fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and
covetousness, which is idolatry:
Act_15:20 But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of
idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.
Act_15:29 That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and
from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves,
ye shall do well. Fare ye well.
Act_21:25 As touching the Gentiles which believe, we have written and
concluded that they observe no such thing, save only that they keep
themselves from things offered to idols, and from blood, and from strangled,
and from fornication.
Rom_2:22 Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou
commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege?
1Co_8:1 Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all

1Co_8:4 As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered
in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that
there is none other God but one.

idol's temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to
eat those things which are offered to idols;
1Co_10:19 What say I then? that the idol is any thing, or that which is
offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing?

idols, eat not for his sake that shewed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth

BRIT HADASHA
Rom 1:18 For the wrath of Elohim is revealed from heaven against all
wickedness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in
unrighteousness,
Rom 1:19 because that which is known of Elohim is manifest among them,
for Elohim has manifested it to them.
Rom 1:20 For since the creation of the world His invisible qualities have
been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, both His
everlasting power and Mightiness, for them to be without excuse,
Rom 1:21 because, although they knew Elohim, they did not esteem Him as
Elohim, nor gave thanks, but became vain in their reasonings, and their
undiscerning heart was darkened.
Rom 1:22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools,
Rom 1:23 and changed the esteem of the incorruptible Elohim into the
likeness of an image of corruptible man, and of birds and of four-footed
beasts and of reptiles.

Rom 1:24 Therefore Elohim gave them up to uncleanness in the lust of their
hearts, to disrespect their bodies among themselves,
Rom 1:25 who changed the truth of Elohim into the falsehood, and
worshipped and served what was created rather than the Creator, who is
blessed forever. Amĕn.
Rom 1:26 Because of this Elohim gave them over to degrading passions. For
even their women exchanged natural relations for what is against nature,
Rom 1:27 and likewise, the men also, having left natural relations with
woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing
indecency, and receiving back the reward which was due for their straying.
Rom 1:28 And even as they did not think it worth- while to possess the
knowledge of Elohim, Elohim gave them over to a worthless mind, to do
what is improper,
Rom 1:29 having been filled with all unrighteousness, whoring, wickedness,
greed, evil; filled with envy, murder, fighting, deceit, evil habits;
whisperers,
Rom 1:30 slanderers, haters of Elohim, insolent, proud, boasters, devisers of
evils, disobedient to parents,
Rom 1:31 without discernment, covenant breakers, unloving, unforgiving,
ruthless;
Rom 1:32 who, though they know the righteousness of Elohim, that those
who practise such deserve death, not only do the same but also approve of
those who practise them.

and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which
neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:
Apostolic Scriptures/New Testament regarding these practices
Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity,
sensuality,
Gal 5:20 idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries,
dissensions, divisions,
Gal 5:21 envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I
warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the
kingdom of God.
Act 19:24 For a man named Demetrius, a silversmith, who made silver
shrines of Artemis, brought no little business to the craftsmen.
Act 19:25 These he gathered together, with the workmen in similar trades,
and said, "Men, you know that from this business we have our wealth.
Act 19:26 And you see and hear that not only in Ephesus but in almost all of
Asia this Paul has persuaded and turned away a great many people, saying
that gods made with hands are not gods.
Act 19:27 And there is danger not only that this trade of ours may come into
disrepute but also that the temple of the great goddess Artemis may be
counted as nothing, and that she may even be deposed from her
magnificence, she whom all Asia and the world worship."
Act 19:28 When they heard this they were enraged and were crying out,
"Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!"
Act 19:29 So the city was filled with the confusion, and they rushed together
into the theater, dragging with them Gaius and Aristarchus, Macedonians
who were Paul's companions in travel.
Rom 1:22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools,
Rom 1:23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images
resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.
Rom 1:24 Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity,
to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves,
Rom 1:25 because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and
worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed
forever! Amen.

TORAH IN THE BESORAH
Act 17:29 Being then God's offspring, we ought not to think that the divine
being is like gold or silver or stone, an image formed by the art and
imagination of man.
1Co 10:18 Consider the people of Israel: are not those who eat the sacrifices
participants in the altar?
1Co 10:19 What do I imply then? That food offered to idols is anything, or
that an idol is anything?
1Co 10:20 No, I imply that what pagans sacrifice they offer to demons and
not to God. I do not want you to be participants with demons.
1Co 10:21 You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You
cannot partake of the table of the Lord and the table of demons.
1Jn 5:21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols.
THE ONLY ONE TO BE WORSHIPED
Rev 4:10 the twenty-four elders fall down before him who is seated on the
throne and worship him who lives forever and ever. They cast their crowns
before the throne, saying,
Rev 4:11 "Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and
power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were
created."
Rev 7:11 And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the
elders and the four living creatures, and they fell on their faces before the
throne and worshiped God,
Rev 7:12 saying, "Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving
and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever! Amen."
Rev 11:16 And the twenty-four elders who sit on their thrones before God fell
on their faces and worshiped God,
Rev 11:17 saying, "We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty, who is and
who was, for you have taken your great power and begun to reign.

This is not meant to be comprehensive study of the 613 mitzvot, but in the
future I plan on adding more to this study as well. But you can see that the
Brit Hadasha is compatible with Torah and in fact Yeshua and all the
followers in the 1st century lived according to the Torah of Israel.
This is given for Study Purposes only.
