LETTER OF INTRODUCTION

We are glad to introduce to your prestigious Organization our flagship

product: DEBBYS KITCHEN. This fresh Soap Opera is a situation comedy set

in a Restaurant called DEBBYS KITCHEN. This Restaurant is an average

restaurant where people go to eat. Comic situations that happen around the

Restaurant give life to the soap.

The restaurant serves local dishes that are sold in every day joints in Nigeria.

This Comic Soap is a family based drama that everybody can identify with, no

matter your age or class. It really cuts across the high and low class members

of our Nigerian Society. Thus, it is for everybody.

The 3 service girls working in the Kitchen are made to speak in pidgin grammar

(this is to target the low class members of the society). Their Madam (Debby)

speaks in fluent English Language (this is to target the Elites of the society). So,

everybody is carried along.

Each episode is funny in its own way. Some stories SATIRES the society in itsday-to-day life. Stories like OVREYO LACE, LOVERS, and SHORTAGE are

examples of the Satire stories we have that x-rays the everyday challenge of a

Restaurant owner and the problems he/she faces.

TOP 9 ENTERTAINMENT (THE COMPANY)

This Company is a film Production outfit which has a bullseye on Movie/Soap

Opera production. We are registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission

(CAC) with our relevant documents intact. We are located at No 8 Oremeta

Street, Oluyole B/stop, Oregun Ikeja Lagos.

We have shot and edited 30 Episodes of Debbys kitchen to start showing on

air (on any TV Station that is ready to do business with us)

We have a Solid Production Outfit that created Debbys Kitchen. From the

script writer who made the story very nice from the beginning. The story was

written and produced by Tope Ajala, acclaimed writer of many Soap Operas

like face2face, family ties, flat mates, half sisters, U and I, One house, ODO

WURA (A current NTA 2 Channel 5 Production which is being aired on Sundaysbetween 10:30-11pm in Lagos)

The Cameramen, Director, light men, set men, continuity, make-up artiste and

Editor, it has been a very good job all the way.

Watch any of our episodes to attest to this. The comedy is gripping. Attached

is a copy of our DVD for your perusal.

A SYNOPSIS

Debbys Kitchen is a Comic Series, which means that every story starts and

ends within the same episode. Each episode has its own episode title. A new

story is being treated the following week. The Major casts play the same role

all through, except for a few newly introduced artistes.

Our stories treat everyday problems facing an average restaurant owner. For

instance we have stories like RUNNY STOMACH.

In this Episode bad meat was sold to the owner of the Restaurant. She, not

knowing served the bad meat to her customers and they all started visiting the

Convenience one after the other. A Medical Doctor came into the kitchen and

took samples of the meat to his Laboratory. On proper examination he found

out that the meat was bad. He came to report this to the madam. As fate

would have it, the same meat seller came into the compound a second time to

sell the contaminated meat to the madam.

The Doctor came in at the same time to meet the meat seller. The Sellers

meat was taken from him for examination and it was soon discovered they

were all bad. The matter was reported to relevant authorities and the Abattoir

was closed down and all the meat burnt. This is a comic satire that tells local

canteen owners to be wary of the kind of meat sellers they patronize. It was

crafted comically.

There is another SATIRE Episode which is called OVREYO LACE. In this Episode

a regular Customer comes with a Ghana-must-go bag to sell lace materials to

Madam Debby. The material is called OVREYO LACE. The woman sells it for

N45, 000 to Madam Debby and tells her to pay installmentally. Madam agrees

to the deal. Soon a close friend of madam comes into the kitchen wearing the

exact material. Madam Debby finds out her friend bought it from the seller for

N25, 000. Madam is mad, she calls the lady on phone. The seller claims she is

far away. Soon the seller returns to Debbys Kitchen to get another part

payment but the madam angrily returns the cloth. The seller tells her the

material she sold to Madam Debbys friend is fake and the one she sells to

Madam Debby is Original. Madam Debby is convinced. She parts with N10,

000 as part payment. Soon another friend comes into the kitchen wearing the

same cloth. Madam Debby is shocked to find out that the seller also sold to

this lady, this time for N20, 000. She recalls the seller back. There is fight and

pandemonium in the kitchen as Madam Debby calls the seller a thief! The

seller says she must collect her N35, 000 balance or else she will destroy the

kitchen. Everywhere is noisy as credits roll up the screen.

These are just two situations of the 30 Episodes we have shot for the next two

seasons. We will be very glad to drop a copy of our pilot copy for your perusal.

sets the viewers cracking up. He is a building contractor who is a regular

customer at DEBBYS KITCHEN. He is a man in his late 40s.

JAYE KUTI (MADAM DEBBY)she is the owner of the kitchen called

DEBBYS KITCHEN. She is a kind hearted and soft woman. She treats her

workers kindly. When taken for granted or pushed to the wall she

reacts very aggressively. She is a woman in her 40s.

JUMOKE ODUBA (REBECCA)She is the lady in charge of serving

customers food. She collects dished food from Mary and serves the

customers. She gossips a lot with the other two girls. She is a girl in her

early 20s.

WUNMI LAWAL (YEMI)She is the lady in charge of cooking and

washing the dishes used by DEBBYS KITCHEN customers. She runs

outside errands too like going to the market to buy food stuffs etc for

MADAM DEBBY. She too engages in petty gossips with the other two

girls. She is in her 20s.

FUMNITOLA ADEBAYO (MARY)She is the lady in charge of serving

food. She dishes the food and Rebecca serves the customer. She too

finds time to chat with the other two girls when madam is not around.

She is in her 20s too.

DAYO DAVIES (MR. FEMI)Is the husband of Madam Debby. He comes

to the kitchen to say hello to his wife and sees to the general welfare of

the kitchen. He is in his mid 40s.

OLA OGUN JOHN (COLLINS)is a funny character that always finds

himself in trouble. He is always the cynosure of women, always

spending all his entire earnings on them. He usually stupidly parts with

his hard earned money under false pretense. At times he too deceives

innocent people and is usually caught by the long hand of the law. He is

in his 30s

MARIO OMASORO (JAMES)Is the best friend of Collins. He usually

indulges in stupid acts with Collins and encourages Collins in decisions

he will later regret. He is another comic character in the episode. He is
