Top 5 Most Common Home Decors
When it comes to the home decoration, we are used to checking the Internet for the
best ideas and most unique decors. And there are many unique ways to make your
house impressive and standing out. But there are also many common home decors
which are ordinary and you can avoid if you want to make your guests remember your
house. Let's take a look at those 5 common home decors.
1. White Exterior
Yes, it is true that white house is a classic but isn't it too ordinary to paint every second
house in white. It is even believed that white exterior sells better than anything else but
you are not going to sell, right? Take the chance and paint your home the way you want,
without bothering what your neighbours think. It is more impressive, if you use different
colours for the exterior. This way you still can paint it white but adding additional
colours will help you run from the ordinary look.
2. Blue Bathroom.
Every second bathroom I visit is blue. I know water is blue but there is no need to add
even more blue. You can play with the colours instead and make something unique. I
always wondered how great the bathroom look would if I make it red or even green. Most
people prefer blue because it is easier to clean and I understand the women who work,
watch the children, cook and clean. But if you can afford to hire cleaning services, then
what is the problem choosing something different for your bathroom. A real challenge
is to pick up black tiles.
3. Red kitchen.
Feng Shui recommends that kitchen should be red but also Feng Shui says you can
compensate one thing by adding another. Actually red and yellow are the colours which
help your appetite so avoiding these colours may help you lose some weight. It is
important to keep your kitchen clutter free, add some green plants and do not place
too many gadgets in the kitchen. This is more than enough to make this room very
welcoming and cosy.
4. Too Much Furniture
A lot of people prefer adding too much furniture in their homes, thinking that this is
making a house look cosier. Well, I am sorry to inform you that this is doing the opposite.
Placing too much furniture in a room makes it look overloaded and small. It is better to
add only furniture you need and several smaller items to decorate such as vases,
paintings, etc. Also leave space between the separate furniture pieces to avoid making
the room look smaller than it actually is.
5. Brown Fireplace.
I don't know why but most fireplaces are brown. Don't you think it would look great to
place black or white fireplace in the living room? Also it is a little bit different and is going
to impress your guests.
No need to follow these tips, if you prefer the classic white look of your house exterior, or
the blue bathroom. After all, you may want to achieve exactly a classic look. You know
what to do in this case. And you can also ask for advice your painters and decorators
in London to help you decide the best look for each room in your house. Watching TV
shows or reading the latest home decor magazines can be helpful as well. We are
lucky to live in a century which gives us the opportunity to stay informed and learn new
things.
