School News Week 2 Term 4
Halloween The Tooraweenah Preschool have invited us to take part in a Halloween dress-up day and lolly hunt on Wednesday 31st October. Students may come to school dressed in fancy dress and participate in these activities. Tooraweenah Show The Tooraweenah was a great community day and a successful fundraising day for the Tooraweenah P&C Assoc. Thank you to all parents and community members who donated time and goods for the P&C canteen. It was a real team effort and such a wonderful example of the sense of community we have here at the school. Thanks also to Nadine Jenkin who helped create the school display in the Pavilion and Dennis White for transporting equipment to and from the showground. Thank you to Lester Thurston Thank you to Lester Thurston who personally donated $250 towards the cost of the children’s show bags at the Tooraweenah Show. This allowed the sell price to be lowered. We are very thankful for this kind gesture. Remembrance Day Remembrance Day is set to be a special day for Tooraweenah this year for the Centenary of Armistice on 11th November. The unveiling of the Bronze Statue is being planned at the Tooraweenah Viewing Platform. We would like students to attend the commemoration here in Tooraweenah as we do for ANZAC Day and present a song. The service is expected to be in the afternoon, time to be confirmed. My child(ren) __________________________________________ will/ will not (please circle) be attending the Remembrance Day Service in Tooraweenah on Sunday 11th November 2018.
