Prep-2 Classroom news  All of our P/1/2 students a ended the Junior Athle cs Carnival on Friday at SGSC Oval. The weather was beau ful and the day was thoroughly enjoyed by all.  Events that students par cipated in included 200m Sprint, 70m Sprint, Modified Hurdles, Long Jump, Shot Put, Discus and Tunnel Ball.  The aim of the day was for the students to experience a spor ng event, prac se sports and do their best. It was great to see our students interac ng with their peers and making new friends of the same age from other schools.

Toora Primary School is ge ng right behind the Walk To School program by asking  students to walk to school on Tuesday  25th October 2016.  We have organised a “Walking Bus” for students on Tuesday 25th October.    Students are to assemble at Sagasser Park by 8:30am and they will walk together from that point to school under the supervision of Mrs Gilbertson.  Bus travellers will be met by Mrs Gilbertson at our Jubilee gates and walked down to Sagasser Park and back to school.  Walking part of the way is OK too ‐ parents who live a distance from school and who normally drive their child to school, can s ll do so, but they may like to drop their child

off at the “Walking Bus” point (8:30am at Sagasser Park) for inclusion.  Students will be greeted at school with Breakfast Club.  Parents are most welcome to a end.  We would also  appreciate parent help for the Breakfast and the “Walking Bus”. South Gippsland Shire Council is dona ng prizes towards the “Walk to School October” project.  Prizes will  be awarded at the end of the month.  Increased exercise is a requirement before student names go in the raffle box for their chance of winning a prize; there are limited prizes.
