This scholarship has been created in memory of Tony Granata, class of 1957. Tony was a great athlete at BMCHS. He won a football scholarship to Marquette University in Milwaukee, and was recruited by other schools, as well. He married his classmate, Jeannette Bonnenfont. Together they had four children. Tony was a gifted, kind, and well-rounded person. In memory of Tony Granata, this financial need-based scholarship is awarded yearly. It has been donated by Tony’s brother, Archie Granata. All candidates must meet the following Bishop Manogue requirements for scholarship eligibility:

1. Family must show financial need and have applied for tuition assistance by submitting a FACTS Grant and Aid application by February 16, 2018.

2. Hold a minimum GPA of 2.0. 3. Have acceptable standards of behavior as set in the Bishop Manogue Parent/Student

Handbook. 4. Be current with Bishop Manogue Christian Service Hour requirements.

Specific requirements for this scholarship are:

1. Currently attend Bishop Manogue High School and be in the 9th, 10th or 11th grade 2. Submit an essay of 300 words or less expressing: (a) the importance of attending BMCHS; (b)

your plans for the future; (c) how attending BMCHS has made you a better person. 3. Submit the attached Resume of Activities.

If at any time during the award year the student does not maintain acceptable standards of behavior as set in the Bishop Manogue Parent/Student Handbook and/or a minimum GPA of 2.0, this scholarship can be withdrawn.
