Respect yourself, others, and property at all times.

Listen to instructions carefully the first time they are given.

Before you speak or leave your seat, raise your hand and wait to be recognized by the teacher for permission.

Come to class prepared with assignments, correct supplies, and be ready to learn.

Everyday you will copy the planner board into your agenda.

Begin bellwork assignment on a 3-hole punched piece of paper.

Wait for further instructions from the teacher.

Miss Simmons will do her best to have you ready to go when the bell rings. ◦ However, the bell does not dismiss you, Miss

Simmons does. Wait for teacher instruction to move onto

the next class.

3 hole notebook paper. 3 hole 1 subject spiral notebook. Pencils, highlighter, glue stick, hand-held

pencil sharpener.

Bellwork for the entire week should be done on 1 sheet of paper; you may use front and back.

Students should label each BW entry with the date completed.

Wait for Miss Simmons’s instruction on the collection of assignments.

Please give make-up assignments directly to Miss Simmons upon entering the classroom.

Upon entering the classroom, remind Miss Simmons that you were absent.

Check Miss Simmons’s planner to see what you missed.

If need be, the teacher will provide you with make-up work.

Power Clap- teacher will count 1,2,3 and then everyone gives a great big clap- ONCE only!

Tickets are earned for excellent behavior or academic success.

On the back of the ticket- students must write their first and last name and period #.

Students will be entered into bi-weekly raffle drawings for prizes.

To supplement class discussion and to allow each student the opportunity to contribute “THE BAG” will be used.

Everyone’s name is placed in a bag. At random a student’s name is drawn. Whoever is drawn is responsible for the answer.

Clap once if you can hear me. Ok, let’s wrap it up in 5-4-3-2-1. Stop what

you are doing, eyes on teacher, class is quiet, and ready to listen.

“Focus on the front, stop talking.”

Passes will only be provided during student work time.

Each student will have four passes to use during the nine weeks. First ask for permission. Then fill out your planner. Next mark date and time in record book. Last take your pass and quickly return to class.

REMEMBER: You will have only FOUR PASSES
