Report Cards
Report cards for the second six weeks will be mailed
Wednesday afternoon.
Extended Day
Students who have been absent from tests or have accu-
mulated multiple zeros and are endanger of failing the six
weeks will be assigned extended day on Mondays and
Wednesdays from 3:30-4:30 to make up missed tests or
assignments.
Parent Portal
If you have not signed up for Parent Portal please contact
the office if you need assistance. Please encourage your child
to sign up for their own account. They can come by the office
and we can sign them up.

Fashion Design students will be having a Quilt show in
the Tolar High School Library beginning at 5:30 pm and
lasting through the Tolar Band Concert. Please come
see what our students have been working so hard on.
FCCLA News
FCCLA in conjunction with Pediatric Dental of Gran-
bury are conducting a food drive to provide Thanksgiv-
ing meals to 3 local families. Please send non perisha-
ble food items with your students to Tolar High School,
Mrs. Raybon's room #20. This food drive will last until
November 19. Thank you so much for your support in
this attempt to help others who are less fortunate.

Biology will go over viruses and viral diseases. They will have a virus project assigned Thursday that will require them to make a 3D model of a virus and a poster. It will be due Monday the 16th.
Chemistry will be covering the history and organization of the periodic table.
Human Anatomy will have a guest speaker from Tarleton State University on Monday. The rest of the week they will discuss and investigate different joints found in the human body.
Principles of Technology/Engineering Design

Students will be introduced to Computer Aided Drafting.
Advanced Engineering Design and Presentation II
Students will learn how to make presentations, exploded views, and how to generate parts
lists using Autodesk Inventor.
Principles of Technology
Students will learn about material properties, Young's Modulus, Stress and Strain.
Engineering Design and Problem Solving
Students will work on input programming.

Chem - Chemistry will finish the unit on Electron Configuration before having a test covering Lewis Dot Structures and Electron Configuration.
IPC - IPC will finish discussing Nuclear Reactions before having a test over balancing chemical reactions and nuclear reactions.

DC English III & IV Ms. Anderson [email protected] English III DC - Students will continue working on their editorial essays. The rough drafts are
due on Tuesday, and final copies are due on Friday.
English IV - Students' shields with family crests are due on Monday, as are their final copies of
their code of conduct. We will begin studying "Macbeth."
English IV DC - Students' final copies of their annotated bibliographies are due on Tuesday.
They should begin work on their research papers. In class, we will be studying "Macbeth."

10th on-level: Final draft of research paper is due Monday. We will begin our study of Shakespeare's Jul-ius Caesar. Reading and notes quizzes will occur throughout the week.
10th advanced: Final draft of research paper is due Monday. We will begin our study of Shakespeare's Julius Caesar. Students will have a quiz over a historical timeline and Roman Empire notes. There will be a short answer test over Act I at the end of the week.
11th English: We will begin the Romantic period of American Literature. Students will take notes on the historical and literary context as well as become familiar with major writers of the time. We will read "The Devil and Tom Walker," and several selections from Longfellow and Nathaniel Hawthorne.
9th Creative Writing/Reading: We will continue our study of Lois Lowry's Son.

Fashion Design Students begin the final count down to the Quilt show on December 10, 2015. The students will only be able to make a grade of 75 for the six weeks if their quilt is not finished by this time. This will show that they have learned the essential skills for this semester. Only 20 class periods left to work. The classroom will be available before school and during activity period for anyone wishing to work on their pro-ject outside of class time. All quilts must have no open seams, be bound on the edge so that no seams show. Quilting must be a minimum of every 6 inches.
The Culinary Arts teams have done a wonderful job so far. This weeks winning teams were as follows: 1st Period - Tyler Head, Griffen King, Clayton Thedford, and Joshua Tipton; 5th Period - Rabecca Chadwick, Darci Harkins, Alexandra Hughes, Riley White. Congratulations.

Web Technology - We will begin Ch. 3 - Working With Selections. Students will be able to make
specific areas of an image active using selections, reposition a selection marquee, learn key-
board-mouse combinations, and use multiple selection tools to make a complex selection.
Principles of Information Technology- We will finish up the digital camera lesson and begin the
lesson over scanners.
