Michel Foucault - Of Other Spaces (1967), Heterotopias The gallery's kaleidoscopic skin functions like camouflage, confusing foreground and background. By looking carefully at the construction the spectator looks at the environment around him. However, the skin can also generate microcli- mates within the gallery: When put on an asphalt road - the gallery's climate turns gray, while surrounded by vegeta- tion - the climate becomes green and when floating on the river - the climate is blue...
