Now I hear noise in the background on my phone and amunable to use answering machine - it no longer picks up calls because of lowvoltage of the new line coming into home. The technician at Repair Departmentsaid, after he tested the line while on the phone with me, it showed that there wasa problem at the pole. The answering machine, he said, needs more volts torecognize an incoming call. Please do something about this and check. Thanks.

Question 11: Express an opinion

Nowadays, the only thing people seem to be interested in is earning a lot ofmoney. Many people spend their entire lives doing business and neglect theirfamily and friends. I do not want to be one of them. If I had to choose betweenearning money and spending time with my family, I would choose my family. Therefore, if I had to choose between buying a nice big house for me and my familyand a business that would take up all my free time, I would choose the house.Another reason of choosing to buy a house is that it gives you security. Thebusiness may fail, but the house will always remain yours. You know that no matterwhat happens you will always have a place to live in. And if you cannot earnenough money to make your living, you may let off some of the rooms.

We need land to build houses or apartment complex so that people can have adecent place to live and recreation areas for their children in order to grow uphealthy. For instance, in my country people have to invade government land orprivate land to place a rudimentary house such as grass huts. They lack electricity, water or sanitary sewer system. I do not think that is a human way to live. Evenmore I do not think this kind of life is healthy at all. People have to decrease deepin their quality of life and in the process of surviving, they contract a variety ofdiseases. We need land to build industry, so that we can generate employment. Question 11: Express an opinion

Even though everybody probably thinks this way, the differences between mygeneration and my parents' generations are striking. The technological progress is acertain cause for these differences. My parents did not have the access toinformation as teenagers nowadays have. Television, for example, was a luxury thatfew people could have afforded, and even if they could, the television programswere of poor quality. Another important difference between our generations iscaused by political power that governed the country. My parents grew up under acommunist regime which main characteristic was censure. This censure prohibitedthem to speak up their mind in public. Strict rules must be obeyed; otherwise theywould be seriously punished. Nowadays, we live in a democratic environmentwhich cannot possibly be compared with the pressure of a communistgovernment. This means that people are encouraged to think for themselves andnot to fear to express their true opinion. Of course, this sometimes leads to violentacts from people who misunderstand the role of the democracy.

Some students have parents who need to move from one country to another dueto their jobs or businesses. Because of this, some students may face problems instudying in many different schools and adapting to different environments. In myopinion, schools should arrange a lot of orientations for the new students whenthey enter their school for the first time. Orientation is a very vital part onimmersing the student to his new environment. It involves familiarization of thepeople, places and policies. They should also have programs like a welcome partyfor new students. The teachers play a vital role, as well, on letting the studentsadapt to the culture of the school.

A child needs an adult to take care of him. Sadly sometimes, a child is amore truthful individual than adults are.

It's true that the development of technology-enhancedglobalization, but does it contribute to create a single world culture? As far as I’mconcerned, it doesn't. There are more than a hundred countries in the world whichhave many different cultures. How can they combine a single world culture then? The concept of single world culture isn’t realistic. For example, Canada is a countrywhere immigrants from many different countries gather. Does Canada have itsunique culture? Obviously not. It’smulti-cultural.

Question 11: Express an opinion

The philosophy of the Internet provides information and connection amongdifferent people. Everyone using the Internet knows that it is very hard to findquickly the right item which you are looking for. Doing this, man is wanderingthrough piles and piles of useless information and the process of looking resemblesmuch of a fighting with a creature unfamiliar to your desires. Another problem ofInternet usage is that it is filled of uncensored information as violence, terrorism orsex. This is limiting its possibilities to be a good help to the children to understandthe world or unless the world their parents want to show them. Yes, the Internet isa window to the world, but our world is not so good to view it all. The Internet is astore of information. Some of it is valuable; other is useless or even harmful. Ashumans, if we want to make the Internet as useful as it is purposed to be, we mustfind some tool to navigate through it without the difficulties, which we areexperiencing now, or it will become useless.
