Toddler Mania Challenge #2

By mountainshade1

Page 2: toddler mania challenge2.ppt

Mum and children were moved into Desiderata Valley and onto a 2x2 lot after I had made sure I had set the season (or rather ALL the seasons) to spring.

This challenge attempt will be without using any money cheats which is worth a whooping +10 points.

My youngest daughter created this family (I think I’m mentioning this more as a disclaimer) and I must say she showed great talent in finding CC skin/eyes/make-up/clothes which I didn’t even know I existed in my downloads folder. I gave her free reigns concerning looks, names and personalities (though I

do wish she’d made more variety in the personalities – oh well).

Needless to say she had a whale of a time and that’s what counts, right?

I made use of all Glitter’s five Lifetime Aspiration Benefits to help slow her motives and to give her a second aspiration in the hope she might roll a variety of wants that I can hopefully fulfil, and then purchase some smartmilk before the challenge is over.

Page 5: toddler mania challenge2.ppt

Just showing you that though I used a CC wall cover (paint in this case) I made sure it was no cheaper than Maxis wall cover from the same catalogue.

Page 6: toddler mania challenge2.ppt

The Toddlers had, as I knew they would, all rolled a want for toy.

I had aimed to have at least 7.000 simoleons in the bank after building the house but I actually managed to have 8.119. Go me!

The floor dividers are very clever but they annoy me a bit because they make indoor pictures look like I have walls down. I guess I’ll just have to get used to it.

I moveobject’ed the toddlers inside the house, aspiration points icons and all.

Page 8: toddler mania challenge2.ppt

Outside, Glitter was holding Eva whom she gave a quick aspiration points boost in the shape of a tickle….

Page 9: toddler mania challenge2.ppt

…before carrying her inside to start the potty training.

While Glitter was dealing with Eva I made Fred crawl over to her to minimise time spent waiting for him to drop his toy and for Glitter to fetch him.

Page 10: toddler mania challenge2.ppt

While Glitter sorted out Fred I had made Alice crawl over.

You get the idea from here I’m sure.

Page 11: toddler mania challenge2.ppt

I greeted a walk-by and thus fulfilled Glitter’s want to Meet Someone New and this chap (whose name escapes me) was not too bad, though he never earned me any points.

Page 12: toddler mania challenge2.ppt

The next doable want Glitter had rolled was to Play with Lucy. Then she rolled a want to Read to Lucy which I did not want to fulfil, nor did I want to fulfil the want for a bookcase, because that “Read to X” action takes up a lot of time which Glitter simply doesn’t have.

So you know which want I locked? Have a Party.

Page 13: toddler mania challenge2.ppt

As I had hoped Morgana, the mum from my first Toddler Mania challenge came along in the welcome wagon. I let Glitter welcome her and Mr Mole.

Page 14: toddler mania challenge2.ppt

Then I set the toddlers to interact with the visitors.

Page 15: toddler mania challenge2.ppt

What I hadn’t realised was that visitors will sometimes pick up rubbish from the floor and throw it into the rubbish chute. Wonderful!

Page 16: toddler mania challenge2.ppt

Even if Mr Whatshisname wasn’t much help he was quite amusing to watch.

Page 17: toddler mania challenge2.ppt

Though, when he started making this face while trying to pick upa very tired Lucy I decided it was time for him to leave.

Page 18: toddler mania challenge2.ppt

At 5.54pm I finally had Glitter call for a nanny.

Yes, Glitter is wearing Pyjamas as she has already tried to catch a bit of sleep. I have to make sure that next time I play this challenge I insist that the mum is

high in Active points so she doesn’t tire so quickly.

Page 19: toddler mania challenge2.ppt

Look: It’s nanny MacPee!

All will be well now.

Page 20: toddler mania challenge2.ppt

The first day hasn’t passed and yet Glitter is already dreaming of feeling trapped.

Page 21: toddler mania challenge2.ppt

Some toddler pic-spam, because surely that is a Toddler Mania must.

Page 22: toddler mania challenge2.ppt

Not long after nanny MacPee left Glitter needed to call her again.

She also called the maid.

Page 23: toddler mania challenge2.ppt

Later, the next day, I had Glitter call Morgana over for a party so Glitter could get some aspiration points. The sooner I can get that smartmilk the better.

Very annoying that my screenshots don’t always come out right, I wish I knew why this happens.

Page 24: toddler mania challenge2.ppt

It seemed quite mad to have a party in the middle of a toddler challenge but both nanny MacPee and the maid were there to take care of the practical stuff.

Once the party was underway Glitter of course rolled a want for it to be a successful party, which then meant I had to make sure Morgana was well

catered for and was having fun.

Page 25: toddler mania challenge2.ppt

Interesting. The score went form Snoozer to Not Bad when Glitter went to use the toilet and Morgana went to help Lucy out of her cot.

Page 26: toddler mania challenge2.ppt

Nice as it is that Morgana is giving Lucy a bath I couldn’t help worry that it would make the party score go down.

Page 27: toddler mania challenge2.ppt

After Morgana let Lucy go, Glitter managed to squeeze a few Pillow Fights andRed Hands in which made the party score go up to Good Time.

I knew Glitter was getting very tired but I had hoped she’d have enough energy to see her to the end of the party, but she didn’t.

Page 28: toddler mania challenge2.ppt

Amazingly the passing out didn’t affect the party score.

Page 29: toddler mania challenge2.ppt

Then Glitter got a whooping 5.000 aspiration points, so now there will be smartmilk all round.

From here I will simply tally up what happened:

Page 30: toddler mania challenge2.ppt

Nanny MacPee was hired seven times.

Page 31: toddler mania challenge2.ppt

Nanny MacPee lived up to her name four times.

Page 32: toddler mania challenge2.ppt

Toddlers sicked up on other people twice.

Page 33: toddler mania challenge2.ppt

Toddlers drank spoilt milk four times.

(Silly Alice did it twice)

Page 34: toddler mania challenge2.ppt

There were four nappy changes.

Ryan twice and Alice twice (that girl cost me a lot of points).

Page 35: toddler mania challenge2.ppt

Eight instances of toddlers passing out.

Lucy three times, Mark twice, Eva once, Ryan once and Fred once.

Page 36: toddler mania challenge2.ppt

All seven toddlers were potty trained.

Page 37: toddler mania challenge2.ppt

Three learnt to walk. Mark, Lucy and Eva.

Page 38: toddler mania challenge2.ppt

And all seven grew up well.

Memories on the next page.

Page 39: toddler mania challenge2.ppt

Print screen of their memories was taken the day after the challenge was over but you can still see how they grew up well and what toddler skills they learnt.
