SUMMARY

The four-time nominee for the Pulitzer Prize has written columns, features, news, and sports stories throughout the

United States and in Japan, Australia, Greece, and Scotland in 28 years as a professional journalist. Work has been

published in the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, Cincinnati Magazine, on the Sports Illustrated website,

and in the ESPN College Football Encyclopedia. Has made numerous appearances on live television, including

ESPN, and been a frequent guest on sports radio shows around the nation. Has served on the board of directors for

the Football Writers Association of America and is a member of the U.S. Basketball Writers Association. Has taught

writing at Ohio University as an adjunct instructor.

• MMA in Ohio – A three-part series examining the regulation of Mixed Martial Arts in the state of Ohio.

• American Divide – A four-part series about illegal immigration in Ohio and the state's proposed legislation to

• Answering the Call – A six-part series about a deacon's final year in a Roman Catholic Seminary.

• Homeland Insecurity – A three-part series about how a Columbus woman faced possible deportation to her

native Liberia after living in America for 24 years.

• From Tent to Tenement – A three-part series covering six months in a homeless man's quest for a better life.

• On Guard – A seven-part series chronicling how two children, ages 8 and 9, fared while their

mother was deployed in the Middle East for one year with the Ohio National Guard.
