Strengthening Events for LHS What are things we need to strengthen
when planning events? How can we work on those things? Be specific Do NOT critique one person… it needs to
be a THING we can work on

Today’s Objectives:Identify, risks, decisions, and goals(personally and as a team)
Leaders Take Risks What is a Risk?
A risk is an action you choose that has either positive or negative outcomes.
What Risks have you taken as a leader? Positive? Negative?
Leaders Make Decisions How can we make more informed
decisions? Being intentional Thinking about end results Educate yourself
How can decisions impact a leadership team?
Six Steps to Great Decisions1. Identify the problem (or situation)2. List your options3. Consider the possible consequences (pros and
cons)4. Consider your values5. Make a decision and act6. Evaluate the outcome
This does not need to be a huge process, just a quick mental check before acting without
thinking
Leaders Set Goals Why do leaders set goals? Is it important for a team to have the same goals? What are some positives for having different
types of goals from people on the same team? Make SMART GOALS- you will be more successful
S-specific M-easurable A-action oriented R-Realistic T-Timely

What type of decisions will you need to make in the view of a leader?

Remember The Titans- DISCUSSION Now, that you have identified risks,
decisions, and goals, answer the following: What does this look like at LHS? How can our leadership team be more
successful with the risks, decisions, and or goals we choose?
