Today was just RUBBISH!

Our first day of school!

We met Ms Anjum, Saleha and Brigadier Anjum – the new principal.

The school looked very fresh and clean, was freshly painted with lots of new plants.

We had a tour of the school and were particularly interested in comparing display boards (not a working wall or laminated sheet in sight!).

We then took some year 3 and 4 children on a tour of the school grounds to see what rubbish we could find.

We found a man on our walk… guess what his job is?

Here is a clue……

He collects rubbishfrom local business’including schoolsweighs it and sells it for recycling!

The children were surprised to find so much rubbish in their own playground and decided that something needed to be done.

After talking with each other the children decided on what action was needed (small action – big change!).

We ‘Skyped’ you guys do you remember the Brigadier?

We came back to the Hotel anddid some work meanwhile……

Mrs Qureshi rang and told us howbusy the shops were!Look how hard she worked in the shops!
