My God, My Family, My Church…Saved!Psalm 100:2

A Message from the Pastor

My Brothers and Sisters,

As pastor, I am both pleased and thankful for the focused leadership that our Fam-ily Division has provided to our congregational Family during this quarter with emphasis on Baptist Doctrine. With a full variety of activities and programs designed to strengthen our knowledge and understanding of Baptist beliefs, principles, and traditions, our Family Division has excelled in their efforts and in their enthusiasm to teach and to rekindle the excitement of God’s love and God’s promises for eternal life.

As a Church Family, we must remain steadfast and vigilant in our efforts to bring new converts to Christ. Once converted, we must work aggressively to empower, inspire, and encourage the new converts- our brothers and sisters- to learn of God’s grace, His good-ness, and His power.

So, today as we highlight the strength and the signifi cance of the Family as God’s secret weapon for healing, hope, and happiness, I am reassured that our congregation’s future will remain strong, spiritual, and sustained through the move of the Holy Spirit. Let us all rejoice and continue to pray for the stability of not just Antioch’s families, but for all families. Let us embrace our theme today, My God, My Family, My Church…SAVED! Let us work singularly and collectively to safeguard all of God’s people as we are all mem-bers of the Body of Christ.

My appreciation is extended to Sister Patricia Ellis and her supportive leadership team which included Sisters Jackie Dodson, Marsha McCracken, Elvetra Cossie, Tommie Nash, Sylvia Lester, and Brothers David Vaughn and Kevin Anderson for a job well done during this quarter. As they pass the Torch of Leadership and Service, I challenge the Con-gregation to remain focused on the true purpose of God’s Church. Remember always: As Christians, we are all called to “belong,” not just to “believe.”

Yours In God’s Service,

Rev. Cameron M. AlexanderPastor
