Message from the Mayor
Welcome everyone to 2021!
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas & New Year break. I can’t wait to see what comes out of 2021. Here’s hoping for a safer year for all.
Congratulations to Annie Richter and Kellie Crosby on winning the Live Local, Shop Local Campaign at the end of 2020. Thank you for shopping local! Keep supporting our local economy and helping our district to thrive.
Congratulations also to Nijole Brazauskas who won the 2020 Cleve District Christmas Pageant Raffle! She won herself almost $800 in vouchers at our local shops. Thank you to our local businesses for your generous donations.
It has been great to see the increase in tourist numbers travelling through our district over the Summer months.
Congratulations to our Australia Day Award recipients; Citizen of the
Year — Melissa Fennell, Young Citizen of the Year — Hannah Forrest
and Community Event of the Year — Arno Bay New Year’s Day
Committee Halloween Event. I strongly encourage everyone to join us
at the free Australia Day Breakfast on 26 January to congratulate our
winners. The breakfast will be held in the Cleve Lion’s Park from 8am.
Everyone is welcome.
Thanks, Phil.

This body works on behalf of three main centres - Cleve, Kimba and Cowell - and represents the views of all three
local communities.
