For Today's breastBiopsy Challenges
assirotational core ultrasound breast biopsy
™
ADV-0154 Rev A
Cassi™ enables you to biopsy patients with challenging breast lesions such as those in dense breast tissue, fibroadenomas, lesions located against the chest wall, in the axilla, in lymph nodes, lesions close to breast implants and close to the skin surface.1 In these more challenging cases, Cassi’s “no forward-throw” feature helps you easily and safely collect samples without impacting tissue and structures beyond the lesion.
Cassi allows you to navigate around vessels to reach lesions which may minimize bleeding and tissue trauma. The low-profile, 19-gauge guide needle facilitates dense breast tissue navigation while still producing large 10-gauge or 12-gauge cores.
Works across wide range of lesion types and locations
F E W E R PA S S E S , S H O R T E R P R O C E D U R E
The large intact and contiguous cores obtained by Cassi allow you to achieve concordance with a minimum number of passes, leading to shorter procedure times.
U N T E T H E R E D , L I G H T W E I G H T D E S I G N
Cassi’s lightweight design delivers exceptional control for accurate navigation. Your staff can set up and clean up in minutes and Cassi’s untethered design optimizes multiple room use. In addition, no capital equipment purchases or service agreements are required.

CASSI 12-gauge
Spring-loaded14-gauge
Cassi’s 19-gauge guide needle can be precisely placed in the center of the targeted lesion and confirmed under ultrasound guidance.
Real-time ultrasound confirmation of needle placement in the lesion prior to sampling eliminates excision of non-targeted breast tissue.
No forward-throw eliminates risk of pushing target lesion away during sampling.
Patented Stick-Freeze Technology™ immobilizes the targeted tissue, while the 10-gauge or 12-gauge rotating cutting cannula obtains large, contiguous cores.
Accesses targeted lesion with pinpoint precision

Larger core samples from Cassi’s 10-gauge and 12-gauge cannulas provide up to eleven times the amount of tissue versus spring-loaded devices, minimizing the number of samples needed.2
These larger cores supply tissue needed for accurate ER/PgRHer2 testing and enable the observation of calcifications when sampling carcinomas, in situ carcinomas and benign lesions.2
Secures the tissue sample you need every time
Streamlines practice productivity and improves patient’s biopsy experience
