1.1 Assist CountrySTAT programs to improve collection of fertilizer statistics in selected countries
Present AFO strategy and work plan to CountrySTAT stakeholders at national and regional level Form Fertilizer Technical Working Groups (FTWG) in each strategic country with 5-10 qualified members Develop training materials for fertilizer statistics collection, storage, processing and validation (STC) Organize one 3 day training of 10 trainers from AFO strategic countries
Organize a series of 3 trainings for 5-10 CountrySTAT (FTWG) staff and key partners
Sponsor and/or organize 1 day FTWG data collection meeting (one per year per country)
1.2 Assist in the validation process of fertilizer statistics at national level and regional levels
Sponsor and/or organize 1 day FTWG data validation meeting (one per year per country) Hold a 2 day validation workshop at continental level (10 persons x 2 days /year)
1.3 Increase the range of fertilizer statistics available per country
Continuous compilation of existing statistical data, sources and methodologies
Update annual fertilizer statistics availability tables, and propose activities to fill identified gaps
1.4 - Supporting harmonization and simplification of questionnaires used to collect statistics
