2004-2012:The tunnel closing when cogestion occurs.#2009 The safety concept of the Northen Link is uppdated in four aspects:

Improved detection

Improved traffic controll and management

Improved message handling to users

No traditional tunnel sprinkler

Focus on cost effectivenes, robustnes and mantainability

Long sections (75 m)

Low pressure, large droplets

Extended coverage nozzles

City water supply, no pumps

Remtotely operated membrane valves

Starts automatically at 90 C in heatdetection cable

Protected against corrosion and freezing
