A true energy efficient IP65waterproof solution
Why corridor dimming?
In areas where the transition toabrupt darkness is unsuitable, the Corridor Dimming optionis the preferred choice as thelight is smoothly dimmed to a
lower ambient lighting levelwhen the area is vacated, thus maintaining substantialenergy savings and a safe andcomfortable environment forthose using the space.
ImpactForce II
Our successful Impactforce II range is now available with integralmicrowave sensors, offering the following benefits:
Range flexibility On/Off or Corridor dimming options
Maximum energy saving automatic sensing
Comfortable and safe lit environments corridor dimming
Tailored customer sensor setting
Ideal for retrofit installations

Installation/MountingCable entry positions at the backand each end of the fitting. Suppliedwith IP65 grommet. Stainless steelquick-fix brackets supplied with eachluminaire. Stainless steel toggles arecaptive in the canopy to prevent lossduring maintenance, and steel geartray is retained by spring latches.BESA box and conduit mounting, chain suspension and catenarysuspension kits, plus through wirekits are all available as accessories.
LSOH cabling as standard. Suitablefor all indoor plus external undercover only applications. Sensoroptions can be mounted from 2.5to 6m and offer simple functionality, including 2 seconds to 20 minutesdelay time, 20% to 100% sensitivityadjustments. The Corridor Dimmingfacility (dims from 100% to 10%)must be activated on-site by ensuringthe delay time is set to maximum andthe luminaire is powered for morethan 5 minutes. It is recommended
that on-site setting is carried outon the installation to avoid anyunnecessary switching.
Note: Microwave sensors arevibration sensitive, therefore carefulconsideration should be givento their installation method andapplication environment.

Energy efficiency- Good through life payback opportunities
A control option will substantially cut energyconsumption and reduce bills!
Projects employing Impactforce II luminaires with microwave sensors offer a quick payback. When wecompare a scheme using luminaires each fitted with a sensor against a standard high frequency fixedoutput solution, payback is short with good energy saving potential.
Figure 1 shows payback is less than 1 year for On/Off control and less than 1.5 years for CorridorDimming control.
As illustrated in Figure 2, operating Impactforce II luminaires with On/Off or Corridor Dimming sensorcontrols over the lifetime of the project will reduce costs by 36% and 28% respectively.
When comparing the average energy consumption per m and year (kWh/m2/a) in Figure 3, the On/Off control option uses 50% less energy and the Corridor Dimming control option uses 40% less energy.
Assumptions: Sample indoor multi-storey car park project operating 92 luminaires, 17 hours a day, 7 days a wee k with 50%occupancy over a 15 year installation lifetime.
