"THE BEST TEACHERS ARE THOSE WHO SHOW YOU WHERE TO LOOK BUT DON'T TELL YOU
WHAT TO SEE”
Dear Parents and Grandparents
Hope you all had a good week and to the Daddies, we hope you had a lovely Father's Day!
In this week's sedra, Korach, the children learnt about a man called Korach, who wasn't a nice man and
was jealous of Moshe. Korach wanted to be a Kohen like Moshe and do important work. He started being
very unkind to Moshe and asked him why he felt he was better than everyone else. He even got his
friends, Datan and Aviram, to say horrible things and cause trouble. Korach and his friends were outside
the Mishkan to show they were just as good as Moshe. Suddenly, the ground opened and swallowed
them up! OH DEAR! Hashem makes one more miracle to prove that Moshe and Aharon's family are the
only true Kohanim and this was that Aharon's stick started to growi almonds and pretty flowers!
AMAZING!

YOU FOR SHARING!
The children made lovely Aharon Sticks to coincide with this week's sedra. With adult support they rolled
up their paper and then on went the sticky tape. They decorated their Aharon's stick with leaves and
flowers and some children understood the concept of the miracle which Hashem did only to Aharon's
stick! GREAT WORK CHILDREN!
Tuesday: Today the children had lots of fun making edible Aaron sticks...AKA breadsticks! Baking
opportunities for the children have so many learning advantages such as using mathematical vocabulary.
We can't think of a better way for the children to learn phrases such as 'more than' or 'less than'. We
showed the children what a recipe is and that we need to follow the recipe's instructions in order to
achieve yummy breadsticks. WELL DONE CHILDREN, YOU'RE ALL GETTING QUITE EXPERIENCED
LITTLE BAKERS!
