This unit is over the diversity of our educational system.

The lesson I will be presenting today will be geared toward children first grade and younger.

The title of this lesson is “ Why it is O.K. to be different!”

Objectives ?

To educate the children in my classroom

* Class Meetings• These meeting would consist of the entire class getting together everyday and having a discussion. This discussion could include news or problems the children want to share.

• This kind of group discussion, following certain rules, brings the class closer and allows for a better understanding of one another.

“Guess Who”

This game is conducted by the teacher. The

teacher will give the students clues. It is the students

job to try and guess who the teacher is describing.

Hopefully, the students learn that they are not as

different as some make them out to be.

“Compliment Circle”This is more a self esteem builder than a game.

The students will first sit in a circle. After the children

have found a seat, the helper of the day, who sits in the middle of

the circle, gives a object to whom ever he/she chooses. (this

object signifies who is speaking.)The object is then pasted to the left after the person

receiving it has been giving a compliment. Why?

Once upon a time, there was a cat named Bizzle Bizzle was a very cool

cat! Every body like Bizzle! They liked the

way he surffed.

but most importantly, they liked his smooth black coat

of fur..

The liked the way he laughed,.

But what the others liked most of

all was Bizzle’s smooth black fur.

One day a new person moved into town..His

name was..

No, not Garfield., It was Brian.

No one liked Brian, because his fur was not black and smooth like

Bizzel’s.

Brian was so upset that he didn’t even get out of bed.

Bizzle did not like the fact that Brian was sad. He had to

think of a way to show every on how nice Brian was, But how?!

Then it hit Bizzle. The others like him because he had a great laugh.

Bizzle knew that Brian was a very funny cat. Bizzle asked Brian to put on a play

for everyone to show them how funny he was.
