TITLE CARD DECISIONS

Our titles continue onto another. Through the use of ellipsis, we used minor sentences to tell a story and narrate the trailer.

To decide on the background for each title card, we took a freeze frame from a shot of the actor walking through with a gun. We then photo-

shopped the comic strip effect and changed the background to a block yellow colour.

Each slide has around two to three enlightening the audience of the storyline of the film. However, as this is only done through the minor sentences, we decided that it only gives a short analysis of the film,

offering the audience only a small clip of what could potentially happen, enticing them in to want to watch the film more.

Using the ellipsis, it creates a cliffhanger effect, forcing the audience to want to continue watching the trailer to see the possibilities of what could happen. Each title card leads up to the final exclamations of

‘SHOWDOWN’. We used this word as it explains the narration of the film as a whole as it is a showdown between the husband and wife.

In the trailer, we took the opportunity to introduce the two main characters in the film. We did this by using the same freeze frame and comic strip effect on Photoshop to push emphasis on how important

their roles are in the movie.
