Titanium dioxide concentrates

Ampacet Corp markets two white concentrates with particularly high loadings of titanium dioxide to give increased hiding power. Grade 110313 contains 50% of pigment and Grade 110181-A contains 80%. Pearlescent concentrates for polyolef ins

Reed Spectrum markets a range of 13 pearlescent concentrates for polyolefins under its Reedlite trade-name. These heavy-metal- free colorants are designated the Pearlescent Series and High Performance Series. Most of the colours can be formulated for FDA Approval. White pearlescent pigments

Ultra-fine products, Mearlin Magnapearl 3000 and 3100 from the Mearl Corp, are titanium dioxide coated micas having 2-10 micron-size particles. The first is an anatase pigment which is said to offer excellent cost- performance. The latter, a more costly rutile, offers higher lustre and whiteness. A second anatase with a 15-50 micron-size particle range is MagnaPearl 4000, providing a silvery-sparkle effect, and bright white appearance. Grade 5000 has particles in the 14-95 micron size range, which is said to provide a pronounced silvery sparkle and clean white appearance at lower cost than the 4000. Gold and white pigments

EM Pigments has added two gold pigments and two white pigments to its Afflair line. Afflair 303 and 323 are medium and fine particle gold pigments respectively. They are said to have higher tinting strength and light stability than other gold lustre pigments on the market. The two white pigments are Afflair 123 and 119. Grade 123 is said to demonstrate lustre and brilliance not previously achieved in a lustre pigment of this particle size range (5-20 microns).
