Dear Congregant’s:

This month we celebrate with the Dubrow family as their son Zach rises to lead our services and to

complete his Bar Mitzvah. We are very blessed by Zach and his family and I want to thank them for

their strong support of our Temple. Zach has studied very hard and is the model student, along with

Rabbi Audrey we are all very excited as the beauty of our sanctuary and the spirit of our religion will

be at its finest moments this coming Friday night.

The Altoona Jewish Community Partnership held its Super Sunday on April 30th

, 2017 and I am

pleased to report that it was a huge success. Thank you to all of the Temple members that

par2cipated in the mee2ngs and in the prepara2on mee2ngs prior. Later this week a

comprehensive report on Super Sunday will be emailed to all congregants and we will look forward

to your feedback. As we move forward, the next major step will be a summary presenta2on/

powerpoint to all congregants of the recommenda2ons of the AJPC and a tenta2ve plan to call a

congrega2onal mee2ng in September to make a decision on the concept of two congrega2ons under

one roof.

As we approach June, it is again 2me for our annual mee2ng, slated for June 23, 2017 at 6 pm at the

Temple. A new slate of officers will be sworn in and the mee2ng will be followed by our Sabbath

service. Please consider joining the Temple’s Board of Directors and ge8ng involved in the

leadership of our congrega2on. Karen Allen heads the nomina2ng commi:ee and will be happy to

consider anyone that is interested in becoming a Board member.

Thank you,

Harry K. Benjamin
