Respect Responsibility Pride FROM THE PRINCIPAL
It was a privilege to accompany Tirranna students to camp. Students experienced lots of new challenges and all students had the chance to make lots of new friends. It was a great week for me too, because I had the chance to make new friendships with staff from other Small Schools. It was a great week! I’m proud of how our students coped with challenge and change, and I’m impressed with how well our students mixed with kids from other schools. Well done! Jessica Pryor Relieving Principal

WORKING BEE
We are holding a working bee this Saturday, 26 October to give the grounds a tidy up before upcoming events. A separate note is attached with information but please help out any time between 9.30am to 3pm. Stay for a short time or a long time – sausage sizzle for lunch at 1pm.
SCHOOL SWIMMING AND WATER SAFETY PROGRAM
Students will be participating in a five day program with 2 lessons each day. This will be an intensive program saving money on bus travel and pool entry and reducing time out of school. We have also received a small grant of $10 per student from Goulburn Mulwaree Council to assist with expenses. Permission notes are attached for completion and return with payment by Wednesday, 30 October.
150TH CELEBRATION
Invitations for the 150th have now gone out. Please RSVP to this ASAP for planning purposes. The students are performing so it would be appreciated if all students and families attend.
Families may also wish to order a paver to commemorate their time here at Tirranna PS.
ENROLMENTS FOR 2020
Recent changes to DOE Enrolment Policy has meant that all schools have to review their procedures about taking non-local enrolments. As a result of this review, in consultation with our Director, Kim Paviour, we remain open for non-local enrolments. Each application must be considered against a selection criteria. If anyone knows of any new arrivals to the community or sibling enrolments please contact the office as soon possible.
GYMNASTICS
On 6 November we will commence a 6 week gymnastics program with Vaughn from Invert Gymnastics. He will run 2 x 40 min sessions with the K-3 and 4-6 students. The program will be funded by a Sporting Schools Grant. Please ensure your children wear sports uniform on Wednesdays.
STATE ATHLETICS
So that our students can be well prepared for the State finals in Sydney in Week 4, we have arranged some specialised relay training and discus practise with Jenny Hassan from Athletics Australia. This training will take place on Wednesday mornings during school hours. Students K-6 need to wear sport uniform as they will also be participating.
CLASSIC RIDERS
This Sunday, 27 October Classic Riders Club with approximately 80 motorbikes will visit school for morning tea. This is a great fundraiser for us. A separate note is attached, please assist with catering and come out on Sunday to view the wonderful array of motorbikes.
