2. Part 1: Multiple choice Part 1 contains eight short unrelated extracts with multiple-choicequestions. Your ability to understand can be tested by explaining the generalidea or main points of the extract, what peoples opinions are, howthey feel, where they are or who they are speaking to. It is important to use the questions to help you predict what youhear. When you listen to the questions being read out before eachextract, consider the similarities and differences between eachalternative and try to predict what you might hear.
