Language Arts/ AR

Make It Fun, Not Boring.

Most kids understand work if you actually enjoy it and also pay attention and you wont get behind.

Math/ A Math

Most teachers at this school make math pretty fun, so even if you have trouble with math don't be afraid to ask for help because I am sure your not the only one who wont understand

Social Studies

History may be boring but listening and taking notes may help keep grades up.

Science

Each grade level in junior high you get to have lots of fun with experiments. Teachers know you love it and I am sure they will do anything to make learning fun.

Lunch

FOOD!!!!!! The best time of the day, the food is good.

It's the best time to socialize and check out the cutie across the table(:

Lockers

Locker time is crazy, getting everything you need and socializing at the same time is tough.

But make sure you get everything!! Make a List of things you need so you wont forget, you may not get a second chance to go to lockers again.

Bathroom

Our bathrooms just got re-done.

And we kept them clean, please do the same. We have pretty cool toilets that flush automatically and sinks that start water automatically.

Exploratory

We Have: Chorus Dance Art Band PE/ Health French Computers Fast Forward

Exploratories is the best time of day to interact with all students in 6th grade.

Clubs

Drama Club, Year Book Staff, Student Council, NJHS, Quiz Bowl, Math Olympiad History Bowl, Science Olympiad.

You have chooses to be in these different clubs, they are all fun but yet are expected some hard work.

Sports

Football Soccer Softball Track Golf Wrestling Volleyball Cheer leading Baseball

6th grade students can not do sports the first year here.

Busses

Morning or Afternoon rides are of course optional.

I personally think riding bus can be fun and very interesting.

Your first few days on the bus may not be fun but after the first week things will get better.

Field Trips

Our trips were fun, but some were boring.

If you get good grades then you get to do principals pride which may involve leaving the school for a few hours and go to the movies.

Favorite Memory

My favorite memory at HJM was in 7th grade. I had a lot of fun that year. With teachers, new friends, even though drama happened; it changes you and makes you closer to friends, boyfriends and girlfriends and dances and after school activities.

Favorite Teacher(s)

6th grade: Mr. James: He is so cute and very funny, he is a great teacher.

Mrs. Hicks: She is so funny, I honestly learned sooo much in her class.

7th grade:

Mrs. Collins: She makes everything so creative and you will surely learn a lot with her.

8th grade:

Mrs. Greene: She is very sweet and loves to do new things when learning

Mrs. Davis: She is hilarious but will put you in check if you don't get your work done.

Final Words Of Advice...

HJM is the best school.

Teachers are great.

You will have the time of your life
