Times Tables
1.) Any number multiplied by 1 is that same number. Example: 1x5=5 11x1=112.) Any number multiplied by 0 equals 0. Example: 3x0=0 18x0=03.) Multiplying gives the same answer forwards and backwards. Example: 4x3=12 3x4=124.) When multiplying by 2, it’s the same as doubling the other number. Example: 2x8=16, 8+8=16 5.) When multiplying by 5, all answers end in a 5 or a 0. Example: 5x8=40 5x9=45 6.) When multiplying by 10, put a zero on the end of the other number. Example: 2x10=20 9x10=90 7.) When multiplying by 9, there’s a trick involving your hands: Example: 8x9=72
