Was her reign the Golden Age?

Yes I do believe that the reign of Queen Elizabeth I was the Golden Age. During her reign a compromise in between the Protestants and Catholics was reached. This had never been reached before, and lasted throughout her reign. Also, Queen Elizabeth I inspired the peasant class. This made her adored by her people, and possibly the most adored monarch of all time.

Not only was she extremely popular but a tremendous expansion of land occurred during her reign. Explorers like Sir Francis Drake and Sir Walter Raleigh were encouraged during her time. Elizabeth had several threats to her life on top of running a country yet she managed to defeat the Spanish Armada. She was a wise ruler trained in the art of public speech. All her skills made her a wise ruler who managed to make her country a world power.
