Redesigned forkOne-piece hydroformed front fork has changed from rectangular-shaped to diamond-shaped tubing, resulting in narrower width yet increased rigidity.

Smaller folded size This BIRDY folds 15% smaller than before! The new chain tensioner now comes standard and ensures perfect chain position when the bike is folded.

Improved scratch protection

Solutions have been developed at numerous points

to prevent the frame and components from being

scratched when folding up or parking the Birdy.

Optimised Folding Size

Thanks to many different detail changes in the frame

design and attachments, folded-up volume is approx.

15% smaller with the same configuration.

More Adjustable Saddle Position

Flip-flop stem and clamp design to precisely adjust the

horizontal saddle position.

Improved Chain Line

Chain ring is positioned closer to the middle of the

frame resulting in less chain skew in the lowest gears.

Improved Handling and Steering Properties

A lowered pedal bearing, a steeper steering head angle

and a longer top tube provide better riding stability and

optimized steering.

Chain Prevented from Coming off During Folding

The new chain tensioner (speed, dualdrive, rohloff) makes

for improved chain guidance and prevents the chain from

coming off during folding.

Shift and Brake Cables Protected from Kinking

Optimized brake cable routing and the use of flexible

inserts in the shift cables prevents them from kinking

during folding.

Folding Hinge Lever for More Safety

The safety locking mechanism on the new, very shapely

folding hinge lever on the stem prevents the lever from

being triggered accidentally.

Pulling Function

The folded up Birdy can be pulled along with the Lowrider

(rollers are mounted on the carrier).

70% Greater Stem Rigidity

The diameter of the stem tube has been enlarged, and

the handlebar clamp has been increased from 25.4mm to

31.8mm and fitted with a four-way clamp.

The new diamond profiles give the suspension fork

Lighter-Weight Front Fork

The fork now consists of hydroformed components

without welded seams. The bearing is made of hard

Rohloff Disc 14 SpeedThis bike features a 14-speed hub gearing system

noted for its wide overall gearing range with

close-ratio, evenly-spaced gears. The enclosed

transmission is almost maintenance-free and
