1 INTRODUCTION

With TimeCard for SharePoint Mobile you can

create, edit and tag events with time reporting data in a smartphone which synchronizes with

your TimeCard for SharePoint calendar on Office

365.

TimeCard for SharePoint Mobile takes the

information from the TimeCard for SharePoint calendar and displays it in a mobile friendly user

interface.

We hope that you will get a good understanding of TimeCard for SharePoint Mobile by studying this

manual.

All screenshots in the manual are taken from Windows Mobile, version 8.1.

1.1 LANGUAGES

The language of TimeCard for SharePoint Mobile is automatically set to the same as on the

SharePoint site. The supported languages are: Danish, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish and Swedish.

2 REQUIREMENTS

To use TimeCard for SharePoint Mobile you need to have a smart device (Windows Phone, Android

or iOS). You also need to have a TimeCard for SharePoint calendar on Office 365.

The supported Android versions are Ice Cream Sandwich, Jelly bean, Kitkat, Lollipop. The

supported iOS versions are 6 and higher.

The device where TimeCard for SharePoint Mobile is installed needs to synchronize with your

TimeCard for SharePoint calendar on Office 365.

3 INSTALLATION

TimeCard for SharePoint Mobile is installed from an app store – Windows Store for Windows Mobile, Play Store for Android, and iTunes for iOS.

4 FIRST TIME USAGE

When TimeCard for SharePoint Mobile has been installed on your smart

phone or other smart device, like a tablet or an iPod, the TimeCard Mobile icon will be shown on your device. Tap on the icon, and TimeCard will ask

you enter your login details to the SharePoint site where you have your

TimeCard for SharePoint calendar. Then TimeCard for SharePoint Mobile will synchronize with your TimeCard for SharePoint caledar.

If the box ‘Keep me signed in’ is checked and you close TimeCard without logging out, TimeCard

will be open directly next time. You do not have to enter user name and password.

If you log out before you close TimeCard, your user name will be shown and you only have to enter the password.

If you want to use another user name, tap on ‘Use another account’.

5 WORK WITH TIMECARD FOR SHAREPOINT MOBILE

In any supported smart device, plan your day with meetings and events and select the appropriate

tag values (or value) for each event. Otherwise you can handle the events just as you normally would. You can, for example edit or move events without the TimeCard tags being disturbed.

5.1 CREATE A NEW EVENT

Create a new event by tapping the Add button on the top right corner. To use your calendar event with TimeCard, select the extra information (the TimeCard tag values)

from the dropdown list. If you do not want to tag your event, go to the next step.

5.1.1 RESET

With the Reset button you can reset all the entries in an event.

5.2 EDIT AN EVENT

When you want to change the TimeCard tag values of an existing event, click

on the Edit icon. When the event is in Edit mode, you can change the

TimeCard properties.

5.3 DELETE AN EVENT

To delete an event, click on the delete icon and a message box will be shown.

6 THE TIMECARD VIEWS

TimeCard for SharePoint Mobile has various

views option. By default TimeCard will show the Today view, but you can see the

calendar in other views too.

You can add, edit, tag and delete events in all the views.

6.1 TODAY

The Today view shows events for the current day.

6.2 DAY VIEW

The Day view shows events for a selected day. Select the day you wish to show and click on Set.

6.3 WEEK VIEW

In the week view you can see the events for a week. Select a day in the week you wish to show

and click on Set. Start and end day of the week depends on the settings of the SharePoint site

where TimeCard is installed.

6.4 MONTH VIEW

The Month view shows events for a one month. Select a day you wish to show and click on Set. Now events from the first day to the last day of that month will be displayed.

7 UPGRADE

To update TimeCard for SharePoint Mobile lyou can either check the updates manually or set the

app to upgrade automatically. Note that the settings are valid for all apps, not only for TimeCard.

7.1 MANUAL UPGRADE

Go to the Windows Store Settings and tap on ‘check for updates’. If updates are available, you will see a notification on your Store Tile.

7.2 AUTOMATIC UPGRADE

Go to the Windows Store Settings and turn on ‘Update apps automatically’. If updates are available, your TimeCard for SharePoint Mobile app will be upgraded automacally when there is a

new version.

8 SUBSCRIPTION

TimeCard for SharePoint Mobile is free for subscribers to TimeCard for SharePoint.

To remove TimeCard from your device, long tap on the TimeCard Mobile icon and then tap uninstall.
