Now my sugar levels are under control and I’ve reduced my diabetes medication by half. I come to the gym every Friday and on Wednesday nights I do Zumba with Jo.“ Bob Ford from Minster has lost two stones. “It’s a personal approach and it really works. I feel fantastic, so much better. I’m more mobile and my blood pressure and cholesterol levels have come right down. My sugar levels are excellent and I’ve managed to cut out one of my daily insulin injections. I’ve still got more to lose but I’m definitely on the right track.” We did it! Kim Read from Faversham has lost four and a half stones with support from SWMS. Kim, 57, said: “It’s boosted my confidence and I’m much happier in myself. I’m now out most days walking the dog or going on sociable health walks. I’m going without my stick for the first time in ages and my osteoarthritis is much better. I really do think that if I hadn’t started the programme I wouldn’t be here now.”
