TIME OF PRAISE “A Glorious Church” No. 350 WELCOME AND ANNOUNCEMENTS PRELUDE SPOKEN CALL One: In a world of suffering and famine, All: We celebrate the promise of plenty. One: In a world of sin and perversion, All: We celebrate the promise of pardon. One: In a world of anger and animosity, All: We celebrate the promise of love. UNISON PRAYER All: It is so easy for us to shrug and say, “That’s the way I am” or “That’s the way it is.” We are sometimes content to get a ‘c’ plus in Christian growth. We sometimes take pride in the fact that we are at least better than our neighbors across the street or across town. Lord, give us a holy discontent. Holy Spirit, stir within us dissatisfaction for the way things are. Inspire us to follow the difficult example of your Son and our Savior, Jesus Christ. For we ask in his name, Amen. HYMN “O To Be Like Thee” No. 405 RECEPTION OF NEW MEMBERS Glenn & Sylvia Weaver
