Tim’s background.Timothy Kevin Story was born on 13th March

1970 in Los Angeles, California, U.S. He attended USC school of cinematic arts in 1991. Whilst story was in high school he made several attempts to create a name for him self, as a music artist which several of those attempts failed. This lead story to divert is time and attention to producing and directing. Story’s occupation from 1997 to the present day is a Director and producer. Both story and his wife created an entertainment production company started in 1996.

Analysis of music video Jagged Edge – Lets get married.

This music video is a performative video because throughout the video we see the musicians and other characters performing roles that relate to the song.

Mise en Scene

This video has various of different locations in order to fulfill the storyline of the song. The scene that mostly fulfilled the title of the song is the scene of a couple getting married. The character were in traditional attire such as the woman wearing a white dress as it states in the lyrics of the song, and the man wearing a black and white suit. This scene characters are used to convey the theme of the song. However, we see the music group in other parts of the song which they are singing to the camera in matching attire. These are the performative scenes of the video.

Throughout the the video the listener hears non – diegetic sound of the music group singing. On the other hand, they also hear diegetic sound of sound effects that are used to enhance a particular scene in the video.

Editing

At the beginning of the video the viewers sees on beating editing where a cover of an album is enlarged each time the beat drops. Cuts are used to move the viewer along from one scene to another. In order to make the storyline of the music video flow so the viewer is able to follow without getting confused. In one scene of the video it has a camera screen that has a record sign at the top right hand side of the screen. This feature adds more of an dramatic effect to the video.

This is a wide shot that shows the audience the appearance of the music group jagged edge. The piano that all 4 artist are leaning on suggest to the viewer that these are the musicians.High key lighting is used to emphasise the musicians in this frame.
