Dear Sharon,

First, we are saddened to learn of the passing of Sha-Ron

Wilson this past Saturday night at age 59. Sha-Ron has been

the Ward Chair in Ward 8 for many years, a member of the

Hamilton County Executive Committee, the Cincinnati

Democratic Central Committee and has often served on

nominating committees. A proud and active Democrat, she will

be missed. Services are Thursday night (August 15) at 6pm at

the Inspirational Baptist Church in Forest Park (11450 Sebring

Dr. 45240).

Tomorrow night (August 14) the Cincinnati Women's Political Caucus is hosting a celebration of

the 78th anniversary of the enactment of Social Security. Social Security was the

brainchild of former Secretary of Labor Frances Perkins who was the first woman to hold a

cabinet position in US history. This event will take place at 7:00 at the First Unitarian Church

on Reading Rd. in Walnut Hills, details are show below.
