Why Take Part in Qualifying the Workforce? The Tile Association is now offering the chance to be part of our new training initiative, focused on helping to ensure that the next generation of tile retailers are suitably qualified with the skills and knowledge necessary to maintain the industry’s high professional standards. This specialised qualification is available, together with help with funding for businesses that wish to put their employees through the training. TTA were awarded funding from CITB in 2014 to help with industry training and funding, and this is currently still available for businesses who wish to register their employees for the training before the end of 2016. This funding applies to a number of courses as well as to the Tile Retail Apprenticeship, which has been developed by TTA. Why The Tile Retail Apprenticeship? There is a distinct advantage to registering to do the Tile Retail Apprenticeship through TTA, as we are exclusive providers of material training days, offered by our manufacturer members. On these material training days, the employee will be given training on specific products, will benefit from factory tours and get the chance to meet manufacturers training personnel who have a high degree of specialist product and industry knowledge. This varies from a standard Retail qualification; it gives the learner industry specialist knowledge that is directly relevant to their course units, allowing them to provide the necessary evidence to achieve their qualification.
