RAILWAY CHILDREN

CLASS BLOG

This week in Railway Children class we have been finishing off our graphic novels. They tell exciting stories of the Aztec's great battles against the Spanish or stories of the Gods many punishments. The children have worked really hard thinking about their story and their illustrations to go alongside these. They can't wait to show you at parents evening next week! We have been continuing our topic of Aztecs and Chocolate by discovering how the Aztecs and chocolate were linked. Miss Poulter bought in some Cacao Nibs for us to try and there was mixed reviews amongst the class. Some children loved them so much they asked for more, whilst others needed a very big drink after! We are really looking forward to our Aztec visit next week to discover more!

TIDDLERS CLASS BLOG

In Reception we have been learning about dinosaurs

for the past 2 weeks! We have learnt the different

names of dinosaurs, what they liked to eat and

where they lived. On Thursday morning we became palaeontolo-

gists, that's a scientist who looks for fossils! We talked about the

different types of dinosaurs and Miss Gibson got to hold a fossil.

We found out afterwards it was a fossil of dinosaur poo, yuck!

Next, we got to dig for fossils. We each got a special brush and had

to carefully brush away the rock and dust to find the fossil. We

had a lot of fun learning and investigating. In the afternoon we had

a special visit from a Tyrannosaurus Rex. We were all very brave

and said hello to him!

Before and after school club for more details please contact Tracey on 07913352570

Reminder!

Could the children in Paddington Bear, Aladdin, Railway Children, BFG, Demon Dentist, Charlottes Webb, Stormbreakers and Kensuke’s Kingdom remember to bring in a container to take their Food Tech samples home. Many thanks

SEND Coffee Morning

There will be a SEND Coffee

morning on Friday 29th March

between 9am-10am at School.

The BIG Pedal

Starting Monday 25th March through to Friday 5th April, the school will be taking part in the Big Pedal. This is a Eco scheme

and looks at getting as many children and their parents walking, scooting or cycling to school. PLEASE encourage your children to

join in. The more people we have doing this over 10 days, the better our

results!
