Dear Christ the King Families,
Happy November! This quarter is certainly going fast and I don’t see it slowingdown! Our scheduled Parent-Teacher conferences are taking place this afternoonand this evening. Most parents have signed up to utilize this great opportunity forparents and teachers to meet and discuss the strengths, concerns, and plansmoving forward regarding their child(ren)’s academic success. We (parents, teachers, and administrators) all have the same goals for our students;conferences offer the chance to look at where we now and discuss together howto get to our next destination.
Congratulations to those who competed in a Fall sport! I hope everyone (athletes, parents, and coaches) enjoyed the season and had a lot of positive experiences, memories, and friendships throughout. Special congratulations to our 5th and 8thgrade volleyball teams who finished the season as league champions! Way to go,Raiders!
I heard on the radio this morning that today is three weeks from Thanksgiving andseven weeks from the day after Christmas. This seems to always be a fast andbusy time of year. Know that in this season especially, we are thankful for all ofyou who make our community wonderful; you’re all in our prayers.
Dress Appropriately for RecessAs the temperatures continue to drop, please be aware that we will have thestudents go outside as long as the actual temperature is at least 20degrees. Even if your child does not think it is cold enough to bring a coat, pleaseassist us in enforcing proper attire is brought to school. I would recommend thatyou have an extra set of hats, gloves, and pajama pants (for girls to wear undertheir jumpers/skirts) left in your child’s backpack or locker. Thank you for yourassistance with this.
