Auction CATALOGUE E E BIG BIG T HANK YOU FROM KEECH HOSPICE CARE Luton’s parks and landmarks came alive with a perfect parade of vibrant elephant sculptures as The Big Trunk Trail came to town. It was Keech Hospice Care’s way of saying thank you to everyone for supporting the charity over the past 30 years. Communities came together to #JoinTheHerd and rediscover Luton, while learning about each unique artwork and spending much-needed time together following a difficult sixteen months for everyone. Social media was alive with “elphies” (elephant selfies!), stories and updates of people’s adventures around the trail. They tweeted and posted their favourite sculptures and trail highlights as they walked, ran or cycled their way around the herd. The Keech Connect app gave trail visitors hours of 3D fun with our amazing, augmented reality feature, including people taking elephants home, on holiday and even to work! This trail would not have been possible without total commitment from our supporting partners, sponsors, artists, volunteers and local businesses, as well as the wider team from Keech Hospice Care. Thank you all. We’re unbelievably at the final part, the auction. FAQSCan I see the Elephants before the auction?

The sculptures will be available to view at our “Elephants’ Last Parade” farewell event at Stockwood Discovery Centre, Luton, Bedfordshire, LU1 4LX from 30 October to Sunday 7 November 2021. Visit www.bigtrunktrail.co.uk/farewell to book your ticket.

Keech Hospice Care ensures every care has been taken to see that catalogue description and condition reports are accurate, but these must be taken as matters of opinion only and shall not be taken as statements of fact. Buyers must make their own judgment. It is the responsibility of the bidder to satisfy themselves as to both the condition of the lot and the accuracy of its description.

How many sculptures can I purchase?

There is no limit to the number of sculptures you can purchase.

What is the guide price on the elephants?

Whilst it is hard to assess the likely amount each Elephant will go for at auction, in the past the sculptures have averaged around £4,000.

What if I can’t attend the auction?

We o¢ er an online bidding service for the elephant sales. Sign up at www.bigtrunktrail.co.uk/auction. We also o¢ er a telephone bidding system.

How do I pay for my Elephant?

Payment can be made by cash, debit or credit card on the night. Alternatively, an invoice can be provided.

How do I collect my Elephant?

The buyer is responsible for organising delivery of their purchase. Lots must be collected within fi ve days of the funds for the full purchase price clearing, unless otherwise agreed. Collection of your purchased elephant needs to be made via appointment, by contacting [email protected].
